Grange: Bosh not a lock to make the allstar team.

The real question is does Bosh deserve to be an all-star at all?

Prob not.

Depends... how many forwards do the coaches usually pick after the starting line up is decided through votes. Or do they pick the players regardless of position, hence, just the most deserving?

The simple answer: No he doesn't

KG and LBJ are clearly ahead of him
Caron Butler and Paul Pierce also should be ahead of him
Probably Antawn Jamison and Richard Jefferson as well

RJ should not be ahead of Bosh. Id be shocked if they select him, considering Kidd and VC will probably make it. RJ has scored points and gone to the free throw line but Bosh's game is much more complete than that and coaches recognize this.

RJ has been better and more consistent than Carter. I would be surprised if VC came close to making the All-Star Game.

We still have a winning record compared to New jersey who has been inconsistent this year. And you know Bosh will pick up his game before All-Star break.

Caron definitely deserves it over Bosh right now. As does the usual KG, Lebron, Pierce.

Jamison, Jefferson are more debatable but they could be their over him.

Definitely not a lock, but I think he'll end up being there.

at the forwards spots.

kg and bron has the starting spots locked up, unless the media does something drastic about bosh's video and makes ALOT of others vote for him

bench prolly 3 more forwards.
he is boarderline due to the slow start.

i'm not sure if they would have kg,ray, and P2 all in the game, maybe they would look for more variety of representation..
same with butler, if he makes it i don't think jamison would

i would say bosh gets in, just because the team would need another 4. butler/pierce/bosh

what the hell, those are all small forwards and shooting guards

1. Only Rip is a SG.
2. It does not matter. Only 2 more Forwards besides KG and LBJ will be selected. Then the last 2 spots 11-12 will be selected regardless of position played. It could be a C, G or F. So it could be also Rip.

I'm sorry, but I really don't see how Bosh isn't an All-Star. We're fifth in the Eastern Conference, and he's almost averaging 20/10 (which is even more impressive when you consider that he was putting up 16/6 for the first 10 games or the year or so, due to rust/injuries). His field goal percentage has dipped - which hurts him - but he's been compensating by making a living at the free-throw line (and converting at a high clip).

Whether Bosh makes it or not will depend on only one thing. Our record.
