mo pete/chris paul questions?

hey, i don't think i've started a thread for months, if not a year.

i see the headline that N.O. coach not happy with his bench. just wondering if mo pete is starter or reserve in new orleans (i think west didn't play tonight. so it might be different tonight... but i mean when everyone's healthy. i assume he isn't because they have peja and west).

also, won't start a new thread and it isn't raptors related... but is chris paul the NBA MVP? better than nash in his two mvp seasons???

thanks for any responses!!!

Mo is their starting small forward, he's been for some time now.

Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA right now. Yes, even better than Captain Canada.

sorry to reply to my own message. i know it's lame...

but i was noticing mo pete's +/- and it's fantastic and it's substantial minutes. makes me think he plays with starters or reserves aren't that bad. or some more complex explanation.

Was there any proof that we could have gotten the 3rd pick for 7 and 16? I hear this all the time.

Missing out on Paul while having a legit chance =

i think we'd have done if it was offered... but who knows with babcock and the entire situation??

although a few teams actually passed on paul and two needed PG's badly. williams working out in utah. but paul is better.

I'm not sure if the Jazz offered us that deal because they had the 3rd pick which they used to choose Deron Williams. NO had the 4th pick... There is so much we don't kno about. Maybe the deal was on the table because they didn't expect CP3 to fall down that far? And once he fell down, they jump on him.

Mo Pete was lights out tonight, I watched the game and I was happy for the guy... That three point play at the end brought back some memories...

Chris Paul is out of this world.. If he doesn't make the All-Star team they should cancel the game... And If i was starting a team today I would easily take him over Nash...

This might sound crazy but I think CP3 will be the best PG in the NBA next year...

very foggy on this, but wasn't there a trade in that spot (or close spot)... did portland have that pick? doing this purely from a moderately adled mind.

He probably already is. I'd personally put him roughly on par with Nash, and slightly ahead of Kidd. I'd be very surprised if he wasn't widely considered the best PG in the league by the end of next season.

i'm not a keen observer........... but my thought is he's already there (better than kidd.... nash is partially a system, although not sure he should be penalized for that)

This guy is definitely going to be the best pg in the league without question. He's a great guy too, if anyone hasn't seen the NBA Stories they did on him here's the vid...very inspirational.

Traded the rights to the #3 pick, Deron Williams to Utah in exchange for rights to the sixth, Martell Webster, and 27th picks and a conditional 2006 first-round pick.

Acquired the drafts rights to Jarrett Jack (#22) from Denver for the draft rights to Linas Kleiza (#27) and Ricky Sanchez (#35).[19]

Hired Nate McMillan as head coach [20

So they got M Webster, who I remember they were big on and J Jack. Not worth CPaul but they've done alright since then.

There was no proof and their never was a deal in place and we hardly have a problem at the PG position. Anything without factual evidence is not worth even discussing or bringin up, if you want to discuss that draft talk about the players we really could of had like Bynum and Granger.

I see no purpose in talking about past rumors or talking about a position of which we are already strong at.

Very good player, going to be a great player, not an MVP yet, needs to get his team in the playoffs for first time in his career, if he doesnt and there is a chance that happens you have to begin questioning why.

Nash IS the system...without him it's nothing!
