What's going on with our bench?!

Post#1 » by CalderonFTW » Sun Jan 6, 2008 8:41 pm

Can anyone care to elaborate on the horrid performance of our bench players?!

We are getting nothing out of our bench! It's painful to watch!

Pono! Fino! Nestro! Even Humps is in a mini slump!

Wasn't our bench our main advantage at some point in history?

YIKES!

I stand by what I said from the beginning of the season...Sam overplays his bench..and our depth is extremely overrated. I'd also add that our bench is extremely overrated as well outside of our PG's.

Sam can't play them. Kapono is a 50% shooter but Sam kills his momentum.

It's nice to see their trash talking being very effective.

The problem is Calderon use to run the bench when TJ was playing. Without Calderon, they resort to Dixon running the point. Dixon is looking to shoot than run the team.

Nice Avatar<3, Calderon FTW.

Kapono hasn't done anything for the past 2 games and same with Delfino. They haven't been able to knock down a single shot which really kills our chances in winning games. Hopefully there out of this slump and make shots against the Sixers.

That is all studying scouting report of Raps. When we cannot free our wing players to have a decent shoot. In last three games Kapono did not have one clean look. Why? Opposition read that **** man!

Kapono is on my fantasy team. I've been following him very closely. He has not had the opportunity to shoot! He took something around 3 shots in the last 3 games!

carlos chuckfino sucking, kapono not getting any good looks because he's playing with scrubs and has no plays for him, hump bricking free-throw after free-throw, dixon being dixon
Jose "Hammy" Calderon - where Gatorade at the half clouding rational judgment happens, and where "hamstring" injuries linger all season long.

because the raps are slow in transition... Kapono and Delfino usually get their open shots in fast break opportunities and lately, they are not running the floor hard.. they let the opposition defence settle in and give them enough time to get in the position.. you tell me, how many stop and shoot 3's had Kapono taken lately? why? cuz they haven't been running the floor... and Delfino, I think all the recent praise has gotten into his head.. he has gone into chucking mode whenever he sees the floor, hasnt been rebounding as well as he was and has struggled defensively..

we don't run the floor because jose constantly slows the play down. we miss TJ badly.

carlos chuckfino is out in full force for sure

True Point. Hump also needs to get more burn. Guy plays his ass off then gets no minutes...and what kind of minutes do you really expect to get out of Rahso off the bench??

No PG to feed our backup guys.. plain and simple

Dixon is the problem. Dixon cannot run an a team at the point.

Although he has had some nice assist, all his passes are dangerous and awfully close to turnovers. He kills the flow of the offense.

BC should just make a small trade and get us a bit more depth at the PG position, as long as TJ is out.

Rasho was a whole helluva lot better than Humphries and Bargnani today.

Its so easy to see. Why don't people watch the game? Without TJ defenses stay tight on the perimeter because there is no one who can get in the lane. What that means is out perimeter shooters have contested shots all night.

WE NEED FORD!

The bench is overrated.

Jose made everything go with the 2nd unit and had a real good handle on keep the offense moving.

Without him there it turns into a chuckfest.
