In terms of the nba what's a superstar. I've been reading alot of anti bosh post. So for some of you i want to know what you think a superstar is. I remember some of you calling him a superstar last year when we were winning and this year its difference.

Man, IMO Hakeem was the most skilled center in the history of the game.

Personally, I think a superstar is a player that provides consistently high production and is able to dominate a game on call.

Superstars are dominant on the court, and they put fans in the seats.

ya but its a proven fact pf/c can't dominate the game when its on the line....kg has never took the big shots.....vince carter could not even take care of games when he was in his prime for toronto.

No, Hakeem was an exception in this regard. And, currently, so is Yao.

I dunno if its a proven fact. I think Hakeem did it. Bill Russel did it, though mostly in the defensive end.

what about dwight u think dwight would be able to win games in toronto if it was him instead of bosh...+ look at the talent that those guys are playing with we have one post player with a team of jumper shooters...lewis,manu,howard all can score at will. Who do we have moon or parker.

Can't say for Dwight, and I would call Dirk a very unconventional big, but IF TD has an Achilles heel, it's the fact that in the clutch he often has to rely on others.

Hakeem didn't.

Yo Harry, can you think of anyone else, maybe from the old old school 50s to 70s? I can't think of anyone else right now, but I suspect there are some others.

A superstar IMO is someone who can effect the game on both offence and defence. He has the ability to take over a basketball game, and also is a guy who makes players around him better.

Some, sure, but he's guardable, and, as is the case for most bigs, you can foul him without it necessarily costing you.

Hakeem actually improved his play in the clutch, which was insane.
