Why Does Bosh Take for ever to do anything?

Post#1 » by raptorsam » Mon Jan 7, 2008 3:35 am

I never understood this. It gives the Defence time to set up and bring the double or not bring it. I would let him off the hook if he was passing out of it well but hes just making the easy pass that does nothing for us. He needs to beat the double. Also it kills the shot clock pretty badly

Thats worse.

If this was a Leafs board...you'd be reading alot of bashing threads then you are right now. Leafs are in a much worse position than the Raptors are.

I lay a lot of the blame on the coaches. Sam tells the media that he wants Bosh to be more decisive quickly, but clearly he has to work with him more on it. Bosh is basically the same guy he was 2 seasons ago and hasn't really expanded his game at all. He has the natural ability to play at a higher pace, improve his passing and playmaking ability. But it hasn't happened and to me you have to look at the coaching. It's not just Sam but all of them. You can see it with Bargnani too, he has the same problems he had last year and they haven't improved.

Sure this coaching staff is good at getting the guys to work hard, and good at developing guys like Hump and Moon. But a big part of whether this season is a success or not is if our 2 franchise players with lots of potential, take significant steps this year to realize their potential.

This is actually not a stupid question ... Bosh is very indecisive when he recieves the ball in the post, he usually holds it for 3-5 seconds before deciding to either make his move, shoot the jumper or kick out ... I guess it's just a skill he'll have to develop over time ...

He's probably just trying to preserve his much-hyped Assist-to-Turnover ratio ...

I really want to know the anwser to this,

Why does Chris Bosh tap his right foot on the ground 20 times before he makes a move, does he watch dorthy on the wizard of oz prior to games and hopes if he taps his foot three times on the ground he will return home to taxes?

That's because it's not true. There is one man named Vincent Lamar Carter who does indeed go through the same menstrual cycle as females do.

Speaking of VC, he also had the habit of holding the ball over his head and waiting before making his move. The OP raises a good point (no idea why the thread turned so stupid). CB does do that. It seems his instincts are slow - it's like it takes time for the wheels to turn in his head and recognize and decide what to do next. He is not thinking and seeing the game a few steps ahead like great players do.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

first of all bosh barely got the ball this game till the very end when the cavs already took control.

2nd, bosh is prob debating whether he can trust his team mates, moon is a lmost a black hole on offence, kapano dribbles too much, and parker will take every open shot. the ball never gets swung back to bosh.
