"Did they leave anything out?" Sam The Coach wondered. "Can they fly his mom and dad in or something? "All I can say is we

Can't say I disagree with Sam's sentiments. Oh well, at least Delembert isn't going to get the jockriding Steve Nash usually gets from Chuck and Leo.

Smitch's always good for an entertaining quote.

Pretty much falls in line with the teams on-court motto.
A little odd we have Mitchell as the coach, it should be Lenny Wilkins.

The Smitch is American... he wouldn't understand what its like to have someone support Canada.

Let's acquire Sam on the raps and solve the issue that way.

I agree with Sam on this one.
Posted: Wed Jan 9, 2008 7:19 pm
I totally agree with what Sam said.
Posted: Wed Jan 9, 2008 7:21 pm
didn't we do an even STUPIDER ceremony last year for D. Marshall's 3point shooting team-record. who cares, that was even lamer!!!

what's next? saluting jamaal magloire for representing the city of toronto in the nba?

As much as I agree with what Sam says, I think Dalembert deserves a little recognition since he hustled to get his Citizenship...which is something that you rarely see.

A couple more years living in Canada and Sam will be able to suit up and play for the Canadian National team. I think even at his age he would get the start on our team right now! Then he won't be so crusty about Sammy getting a bit of love for showing some true patron love...

Let the fans do that themselves then, rafer madness. Or invite him to be part of a press conference before the game. The Raptor organization is not responsible for thanking players for being a part of the national team.

I'm cool with Sam's comments, but he's all hugs and kisses at the ACC with opponents he's played with or coached. It was KG who pointedly pulled one of the younger Celtics away from a conversation with Sam prior to the last Boston game. KG and Sam are friends, but KG thought that was too much fraternizing with the opponent. I can't remember whether it was the Detroit or Cleveland game, but somebody subbing in for Detroit even shook Sam's hand during the game, which I thought was wierd. Sam has his friends throughout the league. Maybe like the Ford commercial goes, "No more hands, Sam".
