Raptors Fan's need to Chill!

Post#1 » by Squally » Wed Jan 9, 2008 6:53 pm

Everoyne needs to chillout... Last week everyone on here was saying how great we were for beating the Spurs and the Hornets and now everyone is trying to blow the team up and hitting the panic button...

We have been missing out starting point guard and are missing our big glue guy from alst year in Garbo.... The past few games the bench has been lame and the rebounding horrible, but the team is still .500 after missing TJ for over a month and by having Andrea go through his growing pains.

We are not a Boston or Detroit but we are still a top 5 team in the east and it is a long season and things will work out. to quote the great EPMD... You gots to chill!

Actually we are a top 10 team in the east as we are now in the 6th spot. And, this team is not improving and is very limited to where it can go. I still think it needs to be overhauled quite a bit.

which means top 15 in the league but you can't use injuries as an excuse because every team goes through it.

We will be a top 5 team in the East again by the end of the season for sure and maybe win one round.

cant not beleive how people can turn on players and the team so fast.. You would think this is the Leafs or something!

If we don't beat Philly by 30+ tonight, BC would be hard-pressed not to blow this team up.

What are you talking about? It has to at least be 40 and Bargs needs 30 & 10. The sky is falling! The sky is falling! The sky is falling...

No way we chill.

This is RealGM - the Home of the Falling Sky, where negativity rules supreme and utter chaos sets in after each win or loss.

For god sakes, Bargnani scored 25 points on Friday and kept the Raps in the game and the board hammered the kid. So there you have it.

It's been awhile since the last "Let's Chill" thread, the cycle is complete once more.

The thing is, I think this thread is 2 days late. Sure, Monday was horrendous but, the last couple of days have been pretty tame.

I dont know, if any other long time fans are like me, you couldn't even talk about basketball for a day or two after that game. I didn't even bother to read this board again til today (and question my decision of coming back after sifting through the typical crap today). Heck, I was outside at lunch, and overheard two girls talking about Sundays game, and walked to the other side of our building as I couldn't handle it still.

So I believe anyone who posted "quick fix" or "bi-polar" threads after Sundays game is hardly much of a fan of the Raptors as if you were, you would have needed a day or two off to end the numbness. My friend I share the season tickets with felt it was the 2nd most gut-wrenching loss at home since the Vince 3 (and I didn't attend that game).

I totally agree. Especially after a loss like the one on Sunday, it just puts a damper on the whole day and makes me pissed off lol.

Don't forget that everybody's favourite player needs to play at least 35 minutes tonight regardless of the results or the coach is screwing up the rotation.
