fan590 and imac? firefox? safari?
I recently purchased an iMac and I have tried opening thefan590 with the link "listen live" I get the same error message with both browsers: I get a broken link with the following:
"get flash5 plugin" and "get windows media player"
I downloaded the flash but still get the same errors. This is also occurrs on my PC while using Firefox.
Anyone else have this error and how to correct it? I tried contacting thefan590 web support but of course nobody got back to me.
Thanks. Miss listening to the Swirsk and others must have the same issue?

Safari and Windows Media Player, no matter how many plugins are loaded on your machine, rarely work well together. Safari always tries to open a WMV file within its version of Quicktime... and it never works (at least for me).
Firefox is your best bet... and try Opera if all else fails.

But firefox gives me that same error message on both my PC and Mac , which leads me to believe somethings not right and I don't think its me. Considering some of you seem to have it working on your machines is there a chance my ISP provider has something to do with it??
Thanks

I highly doubt your ISP would play a role in this..
Why don't you use an external player, and go to File, then something like "Open" or "Open URL" and paste in this:
http://38.99.208.186/cjcl
That is what I use at work

I have the same problem with my macBook. In the past, I have linked to the Fan through RealPlayer (i.e. not on the actual Fan site). Incidentally, the audio links from NBA.com (which carry the Fan during Raps games) work fine, so my suspicion is that the problem has to do with the 'check browser' part of the link on the actual Fan site. Believe it or not, I seem to remember the link working with IE on my old mac, but it has been awhile...

He is right...I use that same link on my mac...You need to download the flip4mac software (it is free from the Macintosh Microsoft website) for Quicktime. Once that is installed you open up Quicktime and go to "Open URL" and paste the above link. Let it buffer for a few seconds and it should work without any problems.

You're not the only one. I haven't been able to play the fan590 by clicking on their link for about a year now. I have tried on 3 of my computers and it doesn't work on either one.
I may technically be a "coach", but I have been around for years.
