trade for a wing who can get to the hoop. even with tj coming back we need more than one threat to penetrate from the perimeter. and andrea's not it.

If he is going to play the 5 he needs a big-man coach. Its just plain and simple. How else is he going to learn. ?

he needs time, and acesfull is completely correct.

let him play and in 2/3 more years he will be a great player. He is obviously trying to drive more and post up more, maybe he isnt great at it and fails at it sometimes he learns after every attempt.

by losing u learn.

he is learning, if u guys want him to be better RIGHT NOW, have him practice his three in practice only and let him chuck shots from three all season and that's all he'll ever be.

Imagine CB4 if all he did in his rookie and sophomore years was stay at the mid-range and shoot instead of trying to compete with the big center's he would be a softy like channing frye will be cuz channing frye was never told to try and be a strong 4 that can rebound and post up here and there, he just stays at the mid-range and hits his shots when he is open. frye could be a bosh with better personal coaching and time, but in NY his developpment suffered.

back on bargnani, he will be underrated tis year, and most likely next year...but when the time comes he will be a very strong player.

btw, the raptors didnt have a summer-league team so he couldnt practice there.

If the Raps were looking for a coach specifically for Andrea, they could try to hire Holger Geschwindner, Dirk's mentor. If one buys into the theory that Andrea could be the next Dirk, why not hire the guy who is credited with creating the original?

I'm not saying I would do this, but it might be something to think about if both parties were receptive.

I don't think Bargnani will ever be an effective center, it's just not his game. He's more of a SG/SF on offense and while he's a good man to man defender, he is not a good low post presence/shot blocker. Just because Bargs is a seven footer doesn't mean he should be forced to play a style that he's not comfortable with. I'd much rather start him at SF with Rasho or Hump at C and let Bargs play the game the way he does best. His rebounding responsibilities would drop, which I think would help his comfort level on the court right now, and the team's overall rebounding wouldn't take such a hit with Bargnani on the court.

Lets waive a first pick after 1 season and a bit. Great idea! Lets burn all our cash at the same time. That would be swell.

Serious question: Do you ACTUALLY believe that he should be waived, can't do anything to justify playing in the league, and should go back to Europe?

Or is this just your version of hyperbole to either counter what you see as hyperbole in the other direction, and/or the degree to which his being picked first was wrong?

He didn't understand you were giving him an out to explain himelf.
