Post#1 » by moonstruck » Sun Jan 13, 2008 4:06 pm

Am I being unreasonable or is this old logo

Image

...still posted on most American webpages old hat??..It's kind of annoying having to see that throwback dino logo displayed when it is really a thing of the past. How can we convince these other websites to make the switchover & get with the present, not the past!...

...The Claw is what the Raps are now all about.Lets get with the program.

The only reason is because, technically, the dino is still our primary logo.

But as a team we're using the claw as the more visible symbol/logo of the team. Eventually, I'm sure the team will change the claw to the official logo but as of this time, the dino remains our primary logo.

It's because our official logo is still the Dino. Until MLSE files the appropriate paperwork to the NBA to get the logo changed, that's how it's going to be.

The Pistons went through a similar thing, even though they dropped the horse as our logo, websites, newspapers, sports shows all used it until they had it officially changed.

I gotta say the claw was a nice change from Barney though. Maybe if they went with a more blue then purple like other Toronto teams then it would have been alright. But the purple dino needs to be locked away. 20 years from now people will be talking about it being the worste logo of any team in any sport EVER. The Claw is awesome though.
