Jason Kapono Needs To Go!

The guy is not doing great. He has been averaging 2pts for most games. Lets face it, he does not fit in our system (like he did with the Heat). I know that many of you guys say to trade Bargs, we should keep the guy and let him develop. Kapono, on the other hand, has pretty much developed to a NBA player, I do not see any more improvements from him. If the 76ers can trade Korver for a 1st Round draft pick, we should be able to do the same thing with Kapono. Lets dump his salary and resign Delfino, who is far more useful.

For the right price, yes if not then no. Kapono has great trade value, if BC thinks he made a mistake by signing him then you can bet your bottom dollar he's scouring all contending teams and talking to GM's.

Jason Kapono is being severely under used. I actually feel bad for him. How is he not getting time on the floor? For a guy that will make every other shot from anywhere on the court, it just boggles my mind.

At least turn him into a spot up shooter.

Look at how many minutes he's played over the last few games. Also look at his FGA. Then come back with something a little more intelligent.

Yeah I agree Kapono would have a lot of value in a trade... obviously he can be a good player for us in the right situations, but nobody is untouchable if we can get the right return for them... For now I don't mind having him sit on the bench as long as we're winning... He's just too much of a liablity on defense to play extended minutes, but a good insurance policy against an injury to AP/Moon/Delfino, or against a zone defense...

I think he'll be a lot more valuable come playoff time when our offense becomes stagnant again...

Seriously, I have no idea why Kapono isn't used more. You see guys like Moon taking more shots and three's than Kapono. Guess what the one game Calderone was looking from him he lit it up. Give the guy shots, he's one of the best straight up shooters in the game currently. His release is soo quick.. i feel very sad that Mitchell dosen't give him more minutes and call more plays for him.

A couple weeks ago he was untouchable, and now he's a trade filler.

I love this board.

How the hell do you know he's not doing good. He barely gets PT...

He needs to play with a PG and not with Martin or Dixion.

He'll be fine when TJ gets back no doubt.

That does not matter. If he was good he would get the minutes. Its all pointing out hes falling out of Sams rotation. Morris was good too and he got let go. Don't forget how much hes getting paid. Hes overpaid. For a so-called "3-point speacialist" he is not even hitting that many 3s as of late.

It's interesting that we're able to get Parker a lot more open looks than Kap. Is it because his defender is constantly on him as compared to Parker? Maybe Kap's reputation is hurting his opportunities. Or is it because of the plays we run?

Good players = Get PT
Not Good Players = less or none PT (ie. Dixon, Graham, Martin, Kaps)

When our offense isn't going, we usually have Kapono come off the bench and get us easy points off of long jumpers. He's our scoring punch off the bench and while his defense is the worst out of all our swingmen, I don't think he's as much of a liability as people think he is. He just gets a lot of ticky tack fouls.

the guy, in 95% of his games, is freakin MONEY, every single time he shoots. For you to say he is worthless may be the stupidest thing I have read on here... and there has been a lot of stupid crap said on this board
