If Ishiah Thomas got fired, Should we hire him as a scout?

From the the time he was here he drafted pretty good guys:

1995- Damon Stoudamire (Rookie of the Year)
1996- Marcus Camby (Defensive player of the year)
1997- Tracy McGrady (All Star Player)

As you can see, he drafted quite really good players. We can really use him as a scout (but just keep him away as a coach and Gm). The guy's draft picks are really huge. In the last couple of years our draft picks have been quite poorly selected (Arujao, Graham, Bargnani).

i wouldn't mind seeing him in a behind the scenes capacity, i've always said that he was good judge of talent, but not much so of character.

but doubt that he would come back to the raptors.

Taking the reminder into consideration, now evaluate his scouting skills (this includes all the players he brought in, not just rookies)

knowing Isiah, he wont accept a job rank like "scout", he'll want to be in upper management somewhere else, prolly the WNBA or NBDL or maybe even some of the European Teams could use him for publicity

I'd hope he gets to run the entire MLSE organization. That way, basketball would get more shine. For the right or wrong reasons, who cares.

It's hard to say if Thomas' drafting is better

Usually he trades away the Knicks first rounder. I remember that he did draft Channing Frye & left Bynum on the Board for LA to take later

Besides David Lee, he hasn't really made any great later first-round picks. And I don't see us being in the lottery anytime soon.

Also, he will not get fired.

He is a CANCER and obvious if you have followed the reports, that IT looks out for one person only, HIMSELF!!

He is someone who looks to satisfy his own agenda to better himself first and not any team he is associated with. You do not want him associated with our Raps especially with BC at the helm!!

Remember, a big part of BC's mindset is having GREAT people surround you, with GREAT attitudes and no agendas.

I'm not sure if you didn't notice, but we sucked then, we always had a top pick, any idiot could grab those guys

Regardless of Isiah's eye for talent, he has too much pride to just accept being a scout. No chance it happens.

Bulls ex-GM Jerry Krause is now a scout - for the New York Mets.

He was originally hired by the Yankees & fired after a year. Then the Mets grabbed him & he's been with them ever since
