Any interest in Weber?

With the raps getting killed on the boards and needing some toughness any chance they throw some feelers out to Weber (and drop D-Mart), he was pulling 11 and 7 last year with the Pistons and is a solid vet. However with a tonne of front court players already does Toronto need a another forward to take minutes and shots from Bargs.
Would Weber have any interest in coming to Toronto?

No, he wouldn't. C-Webb wasn't even too keen for playing in Dallas, what makes you think he would come to Toronto?

Not any more than the month before or the month before that.
Not any more since the last weekly post asking the same question, or the weekly post the week before that.

The guy just got signed by an NBA team. hes coming back in 2-3 weeks, but I very doubted it that it will be Toronto. I mean come on Webber? Toronto? Veteran's Minimum? Why would Webb play in Canada when he can play in America for the same price. I also think Webber is somewhat of a cancer because of his attitude and his reactions. What makes you think a guy that made $8 million a year ahem... Alonzo Mourning would not come to Toronto or a guy like Kenny Anderson, and you expect him to come to Canada for veteran's minimum.

this is a two part question mr.guru, are:
a) the raptors going to have a 50 win season?
and
b) will we make it past the first round?

I dont think Toronto would want him either.
Right now we are TRYING to develop Bargs, and underneath that... Hump.
With Rasho getting minimum minutes, I dont think we'd bring in Webber who would want likely lots of minutes.

I've been on this board for a long time man and I've never ever put somebody on my ignore list. I like to read everything, even BNT and his bull but you my friend have forced me to change my philosophy. Welcome!

Yes, one year the Raptors will win 50 games
b) will we make it past the first round?
I know nothing about your team. Do you play basketball?

Being new to the board I was not aware this was a weekly topic, but thanks for pointing that one out with your constructive input into the discussion.
Thanks for all the input. I would have to agree that Weber would not be interested in coming to Toronto and I think it would only hurt bargs already damaged confidence, however I would like to see Toronto do something to bring in some toughness into the roster.

What exactly makes Weber tough? He can't make a layup. His game is a mid-range shot.

Okay, then I will answer the second question. The Raptors will make it past the first round if they are the 3, 4, 5 or 6 seed. If they meet Detroit or Boston in the first round, they will be one and done.

Not even. He can't even make that consistently enough to say he's got a mid-range game. I think people confuse Webber with the Webber who played in Sacramento when they were peaking with Divac and Bibby up there. The guy started off well in Detroit but tailed off there too, IMHO, he's not an impact player or even somebody who can consistently bang the boards for us which is what we need the most.
I'd rather have the nut-hugging Reggie Evans instead.

Webber?
Nah, I prefer having players that are able to move.
I loved the old C-Webb in Sacramento. He was sick. But frankly, after his injury, he lost his mobility. Watching him play a lot in Philly and Detroit, he actually really impressed me how well he played for a guy that couldn't adequately move. But still, his extremely limited mobility makes him undesirable for the Raptors.

Co-sign, I really am sick and tired of James699, actually I think I am losing brain cells when I read his posts. But why would you place BNT on your ignore list, he's always good for a laugh once in a while.
