sorta ot: my cool experience

Post#1 » by jrizzel » Tue Jan 15, 2008 4:52 am

hey everyone

with all the drama on this board lately. I thought id share a cool experience i had at sundays game.

so, my friend from ny who used to live in toronto had worked with brandon roy on some marketing stuff.

my friend from ny emails me and says do you want to go to the game?

im like heck ya...he says ill get brandon to get your name at will call.

so im sooo exicited at this point cause i go to alot of games but usually all upper bowl.

and these seats are coming from brandon roy so im like these are gonna be good.

anyway great seats!!! great game.

another coool thing is when you get tickets from the visiting team they give you these separate passes to wait for the players in the tunnel after the game.

anyway...to make a short story long tonight my friend from ny headed out to nj to go see roy play and i told my friend to say thnks to roy.

my friend just wrote me saying "told him you said thanks"
and roy was like "who the hell is Reilly anyway"
LOL that made me laugh

just a fun story to share with you guys tonight as i know by tomorrow it will be bumped to page 2.

and for all you people who like to hate, or your so cool that happens to you all the time , or you a smart a** and you got a smirky comment to just PLEASE keep it to yourself.

BIG GAME TOMORROW

LETS GO RAPTORS!!!

Thats crazy man, you have some nice connections.. And Roy seems like a nice guy... So you never actually met him or the other Blazers when you were waiting at the tunnel?

I was probably gonna get a Roy jersey soon anyway, but that last game has me convinced he'll be a superstar...

They showed Oden tonight sitting on the Blazers bench besides Roy and I swear to god he looked like Roy's grandfather... especially with the glasses..

My girlfriend came into the room, and I paused on the picture of Oden and asked her how old she thought 'that guy' is (she doesn't know who he is)... she said 45 lol.

Truth be told though, I think Oden seems like a cool guy. Too many NBAers take themselves way too seriously and he seems to like a laugh.

Dude you should of said/yelled "Thanks for the tickets Brandon!", when he walked by. I'm sure he would of acknowledge you and maybe even asked you if you enjoyed the game. He obviously took the effort to leave them for you. Oh man the missed opportunity... still a cool story!
