OT-Kevin Martin

Post#1 » by Mr.Raptorsingh » Tue Jan 15, 2008 6:29 am

Any of you who watched Kevin Martin tonight vs. the Mavs knows what kind of game this young man had....39 pts on 16 SHOTS in only 28 mins. Man, that is crazy efficiency. I think we face him and the returning Mike Bibby and the Kings on Wednesday. But wow, Kevin Martin was awesome tonight. He has only missed 4 shots in his last 2 games!!!!! (14-16) FG's vs. Mavs, and (9-11) FG's vs. Pacers. I think this warranted its own thread. Dude reminds me of Reggie Miller.

He was unreal tonight, unstoppable driving and also shooting well from the perimiter. He's just so f*cking fast too. Just another player to add to the long list of guys we could have had instead of Araujo :)

Sacramento is an underrated team.

They've been hurt with injuries, but they have some real good players over there.

They'll be a tough game when we face them on Wed.

Forget Kevin Martin.

Only if God did not stop Salmons to sign with the Raptors :droop:

Yeah, I see the Rip Hamilton comp., but I think he's more of an Reggie Miller b/c of his ability to shoot such a high percentage from 3 pt. land. and just like Reggie Miller, Kevin Martin is a pure scorer.

He's much more of a slasher than Reggie. I like the Rip comparison, with a hint of Ginobili.

We'll get a closer look soon enough... Him and Salmons as well...What sucks is that Bibby and Artest are both returning on that day too.. talk about good timing..

SAC will be dangerous when we play them this Wednesday. Also, Bibby will play against us and I read that 2 weeks ago when he practiced, they were surprised at how well he played in the scrimmage.

Man this guy is so good, I remember some trade proposals here years ago for Peterson, if only we had BC back then he would have made it happen :(

Yeah, we love our Kevin Martin Image

Yeah, when we get this team healthy, this team could be dangerous IMO... Yeah, thanks for the props regarding to Martin's All Star play....

Quincy Douby > Kevin Martin.

=( I hope K-Mart-4-3 leaves Sacramento soon, so Q can shine like he's meant to!

Now who would you rather have on the Raptors:

Kevin Martin?

or

Brandon Roy?

K-Mart has really come on in the last year and a half. If you remember before that, he was only known around the league for his jumping ability.

His game has come a really long way despite his weird shooting motion.

His game would go to another level if they had a pass-first PG to create for him.

I watched that game and he couldn't miss. He had 2 people draped on him and he still hit shots. Martin is the new face of the Sactown Queens. No one will be getting him out of there.

But he is only a good scorer and can get some steals. Keep him in Sactown!!!

Don't get me wrong, Martin is really good BUT at both of their peaks he won't even be in Roy's league.

Return to Toronto Raptors
