D-League coming to T.O.?
"We're exploring possible involvement similar to what you see in Los Angeles and San Antonio," Colangelo said yesterday, citing examples of two NBA teams with ownership stakes in minor league teams that operate geographically close to the parent organization.
An Ontario-based D-League team works at many levels, Colangelo thinks. Not only does it "extend the brand" of the Raptors, it gives the team far more control that it has now with its affiliate in Colorado.

Wow, loved the 'Breaking Bargnani' column. You have to have a good attitude, and you have to want to learn in order to improve, and it doesn't sound like Bargs had that perspective. I really do hope, that like Smitch said, he has turned a major corner.

d-leauge in toronto would be terrific - i'm sure many of the youngsters on this board would welcome a more affordable bball option outside of the acc.

i would bet on London because they have the facilities and would prob draw a fairly good fan base
I have always wanted toronto to have thier own farm team with complete control...it works for me

Yes, they want him to take them off the dribble because he's quicker than them, can finish better than with his jumper, and he's top 10 in the league in getting to the line.

I think Leo made one of the most astute observations of the year regarding Bargs....
"His inability to rebound is mainly due to the way he stands straight up rather than getting into a more aggresive rebounding position".
He needs to bend at the waist and lower his centre of gravity so he isnt so easily pushed out.

Agreed, he's starting to use his hips a tad bit more, but he needs to get that big booty of his into some guys. The kids got a solid base, he needs to use it.
That being said he still needs more upper body strength because when he gets leaned on he gets bend over at the waist, he can't maintain verticality in his torso.
(Damn, did I just use that word? LOL)

okay I admit that Smitch's coaching abilities have been underrated sometimes, he's probably one of the best coaches out there in the player development department.

true story re: sunshine girl.
In grade 8 I attended my girlfriend's elementary school graduation (damn skank). That same sunshine girl happened to be at that graduation, visiting friends. Somehow, someway, that girl got my phone number and she ended up asking if I had a girl and all of that - turns out that the sunshine girl's brother had a huge crush/something like that on my girlfriend, even though he was probably in grade 11 or 12 at that time. (My ex had huge milkjugs).
After I let her know I was hanging on to the skank for a bit, girl never called me back - but it turns out she hung out with quite a few of my friends. Somehow we always ended up chilling in the same spots, but I can't recall ever having an actual conversation with her.

Dleague should come to Toronto & Vancouver. It would be great because then we can have more Canadians playing bball. As well Vancouver can benefit because then have it has sucess than that would lead to an NBA team coming back to Vancouver. No question Vancouver will get the NBA back like New Orleans and Charlotte did, but the question is when? 3 years or 25 years? If you are unaware, the owner of the Canucks has interest of bringing an NBA team back to Vancouver. Rumor has it that the teams he is trying to move are hornets. Only time will tell......
BTW the Sunshine Girl is a fox, i love asian foxes lmao.
