Do you guys think Kapono is losing confidence?

For some odd reason, im starting to believe this. To be honest, I have been watching him since he was back in Miami, and he never missed that many open shots in this short of a time span... What do you guys think is wrong? Not enough PT?

I think he would of been huge for us if we kept feeding the ball to him...

Free Kapono... bandwagon anyone?

Dont hate me :noway:

I just think he's not getting good shots. And he struggle to create his own, especially in the second unit when defenses can key in him. I don't get the impression he lacks confidence. Believe me, he's not turning down any open looks and he would hear it if he did.

He just came off a month where he shot .548 from 3 point land and now he's missed his only 3 attempts in January... so it's time to hit the panac button?

C'mon.

I think a lot of it has to be with the 2nd unit being out of sync in general, mainly because of TJ going down and Caldy playing more with the starters and the 2nd unit doesn't really have anyone to run the show.

ps: theonlyeastcoastrapsfan - just picked up the Flight of the Conchords DVD and it is brilliant!

Kapono has a bit of a hard time in this offence. He needs a system like Miami's to be truly effective.

If we acquire that supposed star wing player and keep him around in the trade, he'd become very useful.

People face guard him now and don't leave him at all. They play him completely for the shot and he really can't do anything else.

He's a nice player to have, but he's a guy who works off of other people.

That's one reason why him and Delfino work so well, because CD is one of the few guys that can probe defences.

The whole team looks like they have lost some confidence. Hopefully once their winning streak ends they will be able to sit back and find out where their confidence has gone. Until then we will just have to be satisfied with the winning but I'm sure things will turn around eventually.

Nah! Have you seen Kapono speak? He's got so much confidence. He's such a cool. laid back dude, that I really don't see him getting too upset about PT.

He knows he'll get his soon.

Did Kapono lose confidence sitting on the bench the first 3 years of his NBA career? No, he just went out, worked hard and made himself an even better shooter.

There's not worries with this guy. Defenses have adjusted to him and it hasn't helped that he plays with the (terrible) 2nd unit PG's most of the time now. He'll play a key role again when his time comes.

Kapono's problem is he doesn't fit in our offense. We have a glut of three point shooters.

 I gotta say Guy, you rarely fail to deliver.

I really think that Smitch is not using Kapono properly.

The boy needs plays. He is a weapon. Employ the weapon by drawing up plays that give him easy looks. Even after time outs.

Once teams catch on, you can switch up the plays for easy buckets inside.

CORRECT!

No Jose and Tj means no second unit order.

The whole bench is hurting from this,...

I dunno, I just thought that after the Pacer game last month that Smitch would realise what he has in Kapono...

Kap needs TJ (well JC) to drive in the lane

Carlos does a good job of this...hooking him up once or twice a game
