Roko starting well with 2 drives and two buckets and the last one being a and-one. A pretty good center prospect Nicola Pekovic is playing for Partizan btw.

BC has a smart plan up his sleeve, if Roko does good, you can be fully guaranteed that once Jose Calderon is given that hefty contract, he will be the odd man out.

Milt Palacio keeping it close :D
79-76 for Lottomatica with 35 seconds to go

Point differential is huge here... Partizan won the first game by 5 points... in case of a tie in the standings, point differential is the tie-breaker

Palacio with 7 points in a row... 79-78 now with 11 seconds to go

Great game and great comeback by Partizan... overtime is fitting

Ukic gets blocked by Velickovic, misses a three but after 2 Palacio turnovers scored the go-ahead basket... 88-87 for Lottomatic in overtime, with second to go (Partizan ball)

Watched this game, was pretty awesome, Roko played real well, although he missed some shots before making the game winning layup.

At this point in time, the Raps would be better off sticking with Calderon if they had to choose one. Jose doesn't carry the same injury baggage that Ford, who is will annually miss 10-15 games. Seeing what happens when the 3rd string PG is DMart or Dixon leads me to think that your starter needs to be counted on to be on the floor. Plus, I believe that following this season, Ford is no longer a BYC, so if he can stay healthy when he comes back the Raps may be able to get something good (although his health will always knock his value down somewhat).

I wonder if that verbal contract with the Raptors is fuelling Roko right now. He played really well, and maybe his contract agreement with us is based on how well he plays in the rest of the Eurobasket season.

That's really become a key thing in this.

I have a feeling alot of GM's would be wary of taking him because of this or would try to get him for a bargain because of the injury worries. Quite simply, it's a pretty damn big deal now.

If TJ comes back OK, I think it's a risk we're going to have to take in trading Calderon, who's value will probably be a lot higher to try to achieve contender status.

I'm convinced Roko will be a good backup, at least.

I agree that his value would be down. But GMs have been notorious for looking at a period of time and draw conclusions. If Ford can stay healthy for the rest of the season, some GM (e.g. Elgin Baylor (for Magette), maybe Isiah if he's still there (I'm tempted to try to get David Lee)) will probably think that means that the injury concerns are overblown. So BC may never be able to get full value, but he would be able to get something useful in return.

I said it in my other thread, he really deserved a few more assists, even with the strict Euro system. Has some passes that led to standstill jumpers that weren't counted.

He hit the game winning layup in OT too.
