Lots of interesting games tonight....

Magic is losing to the Bobcats late....still a very close game. Knicks with a come back, whats up with them?

Portland and Boston still going at it. Lots of nice games.

My teams are winning today...Hornets are done with the Sonics...Knicks are on a nice streak as of late...and Bobcats beat Orlando. O ya, the big Raptor win over Sac. Too bad their whole team isnt on the same page, they will be a good team after the break.

Gotta love the Knicks; just when their season can't get any more bleak, they start reeling off wins and killing ping pong balls.

Heh, the banked three followed by a contested three pointer four seconds after they cross midcourt. That's Jamal Crawford in a nutshell...clutch 35% of the time.

46 pts in the 4th quarter by Pacers blowing out Golden state and winning the game 125-117 :o damn.

Clutch is taking the shot when it counts and giving your team the win. You can keep your head in the sand about Crawford all you want. That kid is a crunchtime performer.

Don't know what's more shocking. The Knicks winning 3 straight, or the Nets dropping their 3rd straight against the Nets this year.

He's actually one of the worst shooters in the league in the final five minutes. It's a perception thing; if he keeps taking shots, he'll hit enough to win a few games and appear clutch. It's easier to forget the volume of misses.

Before tonight, he might actually be putting up the most unclutch stats in the league: in the final five minutes of close ball games, he was shooting 27.8% from the field. That's indescribably bad, and if you ask any Knicks fan (note: probably wouldn't work tonight  ), they'll tell you that for every game he wins, he shoots them out of two.

Where did you get those stats? You should also take into account he is on the Knicks and he isn't going to get any easy shots.

But he really doesn't look to create easy shots late in the game, either. That dagger three was a perfect example; tie ballgame, a minute left on the clock, 15 seconds on the shot clock, and his defender right on him...so he catches and shoots, barely over the outstretched arm of a Net. This time, he hit it. But it's still a terrible shot for anyone other than Reggie Miller.

Fair enough, but on a horrible team, most of the time you are on the bottom end of that 5 points and are taking desperate shots, also without a team concept you are going to try and do too much. He is clutch in my books has been on fire during the Knicks win streak.

Oh and just to throw this out there:

Not as bad a JCraw, but 35% in the final five minutes of games is not setting the world on fire, but he is still considered a clutch player.

Edit: Here is Gilbert Arenas last season:
