Let's lay off the whole "fan love" thing people please.

Sometimes peoples arguments are valid, sometimes they are not. Disprove them as you will. People are going to have their favorite players, and guys they don't like as much. That's cool, that's why we're fans.

To characterize other posters simply as "fanboys" is dismissive, divisive, and in my opinion, disrespectful. And it adds nothing to a discussion. -Shaazz

With the game on the line, who would you rather have take the last shot?

1) A 50% 3pt shooter who doesn't want to shoot?

2) A 30% shooter who asks to take the last shot?

I'd go with 2, but that's just my opinion. Our team needs someone other than Bosh who's willing to win / lose the game and take that responsibility.

Y lo peor de todo es que a mi TJ no me parece mal jugador, pero parece ser que lo que hace Jose es cualquier cosa, y que TJ es un jugador sin igual.

Who says Jose doesn't want to shoot?

I want the player to make the best possible decision in that situation, whether it be shooting or passing. I don't want TJ to shoot no matter what happens on the play; IIRC, this was evidenced by him playing freakin hot potato with hump on the perimeter just to get himself a wild shot in one game.

If anything this stretch has shown me that Ford is (was) a better player than Caldy but he's no slouch.

Ford's injured and may never be the same.
I accept Calderon as the team's future PG until Ford proves he's healthy and back to where he was in that same game he was injured (26/8 in 28 mins)

I've seen many games in the last 2 seasons (especially this season) where our team has gone cold and Jose does not try to impose his will. What's the point of shooting over 50% if your not going to try and take over when your teammates are missing everything.

You try and continuously feed the hot hand, not the cold hand.

I agree to some extent that Jose needs to get his own at certain points, but i think he's getting better, more confident as well.

All I get out of that is TJ is not bad and something about equality and injustice in Toronto?

Is difficult to me to put this words in English.

I said that TJ is not a bad player but there are people who thinks that the things that Jose do are not so important that the things that Jose can do.
And there are people who talk abou trade Jose!!! and this is the thing that i considere a injustice.

Now this is something I can agree with.

If Ford gets back to 100% (I have no doubt he will), it's no contest for me. Jose is great and so is TJ, but TJ brings some things to the table that this team desperately needs.

edit that.

Obiously everybody would rather have both TJ and Jose next season, but the point is that if the team can improve trading one of them for an elite SG or C, Jose would be a better asset due to Ford's injury

It is hard to tell which one to trade because TJ's injury likely diminished his value somewhat and Jose value has skyrocketed. Even though I am a Jose fan I think if we can trade him and get something special maybe we should.

In the back of my mind I am scared about TJ's durability though.

I think we have to trade one but it is very difficult to decide which one.
