What's with all the Joey Graham hate on this board?

I'm just looking for an answer here. Have 90% of this board adopted the Sam Mitchell approach to him where if he makes a mistake you take him to the cleaners? I just don't get it...Steve Nash leads the league in turnovers, Dwight Howard can't shoot free throws etc.....players have their shortcomings.
But lets get real here....I find Joey has been playing some decent ball lately and most of his mistakes he's been making is as a result of not quite being in game shape so he's a little slow at reacting on O and D.
Case in point. Joey Graham was a +10 tonight ranking 5th behind Moon, AP, Calderon and CB4. He was the best raptor after those guys and he only played 5 mins. He got to the line (which anyone other than Bosh can't get to) and he's been looking to score inside which I find is a major plus.
You guys have got to relax on the kid for one and for two, I like what he brings to the Raptors more than Delfino. Also, Delfino was buried on the bench in DET, got moved to Toronto and just set a career high in points. Carlos was a well known hated Piston too, similar to Joey. Ease up on Joey....he deserves more PT...but for some reason he ain't getting it. The way he's been playing he deserves at least 15 mpg...which with the way Andrea has been playing lately (or this season), would probably be welcomed.

First off he doesn't suck....before he was sick or whatever he had last year he was one of our best players down the stretch. He brings something different to the table....he goes inside and he's a great midrange player....i just don't know why Mitchell dosn't use him more.

he missed his defensive assignment a couple times which led to a couple marvin williams jumpers, thus leads to sam irritated which then leads to joey back on bench
i like him on the court though, he brings toughness on d and on the glass.. just needs to work on his decision makin

Really weak. Did you receive your copy of "Cliche Weekly" yet, or are you using stuff out of last week's copy?
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that you had to go over two words to describe why people don't like Joey on this board. I assumed that people watch Raptors basketball games here, and might be able to understand why Joey isn't good.
He's clumsy, he isn't a great shooter, he makes bad decisions with the ball, he isn't a good ballhandler and lots of other stuff. Take your pick.

except Joey's shortcoming is he's a bad player.

No one has a problem with the bolded response. I agree with some of it although lots of other stuff doesn't do it for me.
Until that part of the post I assumed you weren't very bright and obviously I was mistaken. What was I supposed to think about a
he sucks post?
Now on to your post. Joey does not have a bad shot. He does not have much chance to get comfortable out there and that is probably as it should be.
Is ball handling is not good enough for a starting 3 I agee and he sometimes makes poor decisions which I think are largely due to pressing to hard to show Sam what he can do.
He does however bring some toughness rebounding and that is always welcome.

I've played division 1 basketball for 3 years and I've played alongside some great players but also some terrible players. I think I know some basketball and I watch enough Raptors ball to understand that Joey doesn't suck.
Joey's clumsy because he played the 4 in college, not alot of handles because of that. Joey doesn't create his own offense and is more suited for getting a pass for a bucket....who's expecting him to create....not me.
Lastly Joey shoots 48% from the field for his career and is a 80% plus free throw shooter. Let's look at Delfino who shoots in his career 41% from the field and 70% from the line. Granted Delfino is a better defender, but still our help D has improved this year and I find he isn't a black hole on defence...he can hold his own.

Joey will only get playing time when someone gets injured. Whenever he played major minutes this season, he did really well. He need playing time to prove himself, and he hasnt been getting it this year. I don't know why, maybe its because of the depth.

I agree he has been playing well lately. Playing in games does wonders for a player. Too bad it took like half the season to realize that he wouldn't be a bad player to roll the dice on.

The thing with Joey is, if he's not scoring he's pretty much useless out there.

i agree with what u said...i think what the team's struggling players need like Graham, and Bargs is a confidence booster...they look scared to make mistakeso ut there so timid...they think about trying not to make a mistake that it costs them of making mistakes anyways...they just need to play a little more loose...i love your sig btw...i think Bargs also needs to lose all that weight he gained...haha he looks slender there...he played better last yr weighing like that
