So yeah, our offense is back

Discluding the Detroit game, you can tell we're playing like we were last year. Now our offense was alright tonight, but we got it done we it counted. We have our swagger back, and everyone on the team is contributing in their own way, and that's with Ford out and Bargnani playing like crap.
please, those fans that were counting us out early saying this team is finished, post here.

I kinda have the same feeling though it seems weird to say this on an 89 pts night... When have we become a defensive minded slow tempo team? Isn't this everything we're not supposed to be???
Anyways, good win.

The lockdown has begun. We won't be seeing those fans anymore.
At least I won't. I went on a massive Ignore freakout the other day.
SO YES PLEASE POST HERE IN CASE I MISSED ANY OF YOU HATERS
Bosh is playing incredible, and I credit him for most of the reason we've been winning. After winning POTW, he's definitely on teams scouting reports BIG TIME, so that allows other guys, most notably Parker, to get going, and that they have. 5 OUT OF 6 BABY!!!!

Home games against weaker opponents don't mean our offense is neccesairly back. Let's go and play a good game on the road in Detroit, in Boston or even in Cleveland. I'm not usually a pessimist and love to see what the Raptors are doing but they have to continue to work on taking that next step. I'm willing to wait for them--but they need to work harder. They need to go into Detroit and say that this is a huge statement game and a confidence game. We want this game more than them. We want to take that step.

Our offense is still too predicable. You could see it tonight against Atlanta. They doubled Bosh, but they were still able to close out our shooters even when we swung the ball pretty quickly along the perimeter. Obviously they know exactly what's coming, which makes it easy for them to take away that corner three.
Compounding this problem is that it seems to take us too long to get the ball to Bosh, so when he's kicking it out there around 7 seconds left on the shot clock. Sometimes our guys on the perimeter receiving the pass should drive rather than swing the ball, but there isn't enough time left for a drive, kick, and pass.

I was more talking about our offense in the 4th. Earlier in the year we just couldn't hit a shot to save our lives and our offense was outta sync. We're looking like the team that won 47 games last year now.

The ball is moving, guys are slashing a bit more and Jose is taking some more "risks" with the ball

Yeah, I agree with you that the offense looks a lot smoother than earlier in the year, I'm just saying there's still a lot more room to improve. Which is actually good, in a way.
I suspect that earlier in the year the coaches were focussing almost entirely on defense in practice, but over the last couple of weeks they've begun work on our offensive plays.

You serious about using that word?
The Raptors pull a Jekyll and Hyde on offense every other possession, you literally see them move the ball extremely well off a double team leading up to an open shot and on the very next possession, you

Offense is too dependent on Bosh still for 30-40 pts which he can't keep up. Calderon needs to be more selfish and our bench production needs some resuscitation right now with only Delfino providing.
Its funny how our 2nd unit is now slumping even though they were playing great by until recently with Delfino/JK pitching in regularly for at least 8 pts and good rebounding/hustle for Humps. Then again, it could be due to our first unit finally showing some life thus taking away the minutes, and rhythm of the 2nd unit. Or maybe its due to the loss of our full time 2nd unit PG.

lol till the next time we play ****. This board is halarious with the conclusions some people come up with. Not to diss the TS but it's just funny how back and forth the threads here go. Anyways forget our offense, the most important part is our Defense is way better then last year. I give all the credit to Sam for making his guys buy into it.
