alot of people criticize bosh alot but they don't realize that the chances of toronto finding a better player than him is almost zero.

bosh isn't there yet, but he's as close as you're gonna get. and those that keep ripping him for what he's not are better off just following another team.

with that said, bargs regression this year is forcing smitch to play bosh basically the entire game. he takes a beating to his body every night and is logging heavy minutes...all of which will catch up towards the end of the season.

bargs needs to man-up here b/c he's a huge liability out there right now. hump and rasho can only give us so many minutes since the team can't really score without bosh on the court.

Yeah I really hope Bargs starts to contribute to help take the load off Bosh.

This is where Garbo has been sorely missing this season. He has the experience and enough skill to hold the fort down at the 4 against opposing teams second units to allow Bosh the breathers throughout the game he needs.

Bosh was sucking wind pretty bad a certain points in the games of late december, but it seems now that he's gotten into better game shape and is finishing much stronger.

I noticed you are mostly a Knicks fan. How can you be a fan of two rivals in the same division?

burnt out chris bosh 08 will still be better than playoff chris bosh 07.

Ford's return should help. Plus he almost never guards the other team's best big anymore (that job belongs to Bargnani) which also helps. He should be alright.

I realize that he's been playing more the past 2 weeks but do people realize that Bosh is averaging less mpg this season than he has since his rookie season? And he's about 3 mpg behind what he played the last 2 years?

36 mpg is not a huge workload for a star player. So why is he going to get burnt out this year moreso than previous years?

I hate watching Bosh battle three players for rebounds while Bargnani stands and watches.

I think the Raptors need to look for a big body to ease Bosh's workload. It's important that Bargnani continues to see the floor so he can develop, but not if it means our franchise player breaks down from carrying a disproportionate rebounding load.

The star player on almost every team plays a similar amount of minutes, and carries similar burden. If Bosh is going to get worn down then so are the players of other teams. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Even though he has been taking it to the rim a lot more these days, he still doesn't play that power game where he's fighting off big guys in the post. Most of his buckets he blows by the defender with his quick step or a short jumper. I really don't think fatigue will be that big of a factor come playoff time.

He's not playing big minutes. He's just getting a lot of touches. When TJ comes back the offensive workload should come down. But I feel like we're saying that a lot...when TJ comes back.

I don't know why we don't send Andrea to the D-league.

At this point, I feel like shame is the only way to get to him.

I can understand it. I am probably the only one in the world, but in hockey, I cheer for the leafs first, and then after them it's the habs.

i've been a knicks season ticket holder since 2002. i've had mini plans during the 90's runs. i bled orange and blue since i was a kid.

but since 2004, i've really disliked what isiah has done to the team. the players he has brought in and the type of owner dolan is. needless to say, since 2005, i've been watching the raps more and more - in the glory days of mike james and jalen rose to the BC era.

this is my last season as a season ticket holder for hte knicks. and this season, i've watched every minute of the raptors and hardly any knicks games (including basically selling off most of my tix).

so, it's gonna sound crazy, but you can almost say that i'm a raps fan and not a knicks one.

I'm sort of baffled at how they could inspire Bargnani at this point. To me, his work ethic seems to vary wildly. Sometimes he works hard to the point of making silly mistakes due to overaggression and other times he looks uninterested.

It's completely possible that he'd benefit from some time in the D-league, and he isn't offering the Raptors much right now. But the Raptors don't have much of a presence in Colorado, so I'm not sure he'd get the coaching he needs if he were sent down.

i see what you're saying but bosh is getting hacked and bludgeoned on basically every move. look at this ft #'s.

but bosh is a big with a SF's body. that's why it's different with him. he plays hard basically every minute and it's gettting to the point where smitch doesn't want to sit him at all b/c bargs has been in major foul trouble, rasho looks older than grandpa muster, and hump is too inconsistent. and with the loss of tj, the 2nd unit takes a hit as well.

Wow that's an interesting story. I just find it odd (but in a cool way!) that out of all the teams to choose, it'd be a division rival.

It'll take a couple of years, but the Knicks won't be bottom feeders forever.

it is weird. but i got league pass in 2004 and i just started gravitating to toronto games for some reason. i don't know if it's the arena, the uniforms, or the crowd, but i just started watching more and more games.

tj ford has been one of my favorite players in the league since he was drafted, so when the raps got him, i think that cinched it for me. and i love the innovative euro-angle bc put in place. are the raps on the way to a title? tough to say, but you can see there IS a plan and it's being executed.

knicks will be fine, but i think by keeping isiah around for so long, ownership is giving a big "F U" to the fans and i just totally lost interest in the team, to the point where i can't cheer for them anymore.

plus i'm getting older and this whole "my team vs. your team" thing just doesn't seem important to me anymore.

but back to bosh - i used to fight tooth and nail against knicks fans that used to diss ewing all the time. it's like they didn't appreciate what they had, but that's knicks fans for you...but i sort of notice it in all big cities as well.

so when i see people go nuts on bosh from time to time, i scratch my head and be like "huh?"

without bosh, this team is worse than an expansion team, he is the franchise and it's tough to name 5-7 more young guys in the league you would rather start a franchise with.
