Could Chris Wilcox be had?

Right now Bargs is doing absolutely nothing. He's not a starter and he looks very confused, this Raps team need toughness and Defence, a force inside who can do the dirty work and Bargs is clearly not the answer. That being said, could Chris Wilcox be the answer? He can play the Centre position for us and can be very vicious with his monster dunks and he's a rebounding machine. Right now the Sonics are playing Kurt Thomas and Nick Collison as their starting Centre and Power foward position leaving Chris Wilcox on the bench. With this in mind, could we offer a package of Bargs + Dixon for Chris Wilcox? or any other combination of raptor players including Bargs in order for us to acquire Chris Wilcox?

Wilcox isnt much of a rebounder or defender. I would do that trade, but would prefer to go in another direction

I'd prefer Kurt Thomas.

Nah, I wouldn't deal Andrea for him. I'd rather see what we have in Bargs.

Wilcox is may get highlight reel blocks and throw down some nasty dunks, but he's pretty soft. He's not a banger or rebounder.

as bad as andrea's been playin i'd turn it down, bargs potential is way to high to give up so easy.. if he lives up to his expectations then dudes a superstar.. we don't want to end up like the blazers and j.o'neal

Kurt Thomas is old tho, we need someone young who can rebound and defend down low... we have enough scoring on this roster

I'd take Mamadou for Bargs.

Too bad it's not 2001. He's getting up there with age. But if we can get him for cheap then let's do it.

You serious? He's at least as good as Bosh when it comes to rebounding. Look at his MPG.

My concern would be that Wilcox is for some reason not good enough to start ahead of Kurt Thomas/Nick Collison.

He's an efficient scorer and a very good rebounder, so I'm guessing he must have immense problems defending/sharing the ball.

Chris Wilcox is clearly not what this team needs.

An offensive minded PF who doesn't defend that great and needs the ball in order to be effective? We basically need Center with the exact opposite set of skills.

Wilcox can't defend down low though.

I've watched a lot of Seattle games this year. Wilcox is a good inside scorer, and good rebounder. But he's a pretty bad defender, gets lazy and lost on the defensive end, and honestly isn't even that great of a shotblocker.

So essentially he's just an inside scorer rebounder. Which doesn't fit our team at all, because we'll still be soft inside and he'll take away space for Bosh to operate inside.

Can you handle Leo gushing about him for 82 games every season?
