I can't see a better fit than DeVon Hardin. The guy is athletic, can rebound, plays solid defense and can block some shots.

If BC decides to go another route with a SG/SF, then I'd like to see him try to trade for a high 2nd rounder to grab Joey Dorsey, who is also a tenacious defender with plenty of hustle.

I'd go for a foreign big man who can play center.

Oh wait, we've tried that a couple of times. OK, forget it.

raptors should do whatever they can to get a top 10 pick. Heres where I think we should try and trade jose calderon. If raptors are looking for centers its roy hibbert or hasheem thabeet. If were not, then we should try are best to go after oj mayo, eric gordon. Out of the players I mentioned the only one that looked possible would have been Roy Hibbert, but after playing last night like he did, hes definately going to move up the ranks.

I agree with that logic but instead of Jose I would try to trade T.J and our pick for a higher pick and then bring Roko over. One guy I would love to get on our team is DeAndre Jordan but I doubt BC would go for him as long as Bargs is still here. Eric Gordon would also be a great addition to our swing-man positin.

BC should face the fact that even Bargs become the next Dirk ,he's still not the center we want right now under Sam's system

Please, knowing BC, we're not drafting an American player.

Get ready for some unknown foreign jumpshooter getting hyped up right before the draft by the Raptors management.

Trade up with Ford/Calderon

Post#12 » by Derekman » Sun Jan 20, 2008 4:33 pm

Should the raps make a trade that nets them a go-to player in this draft, a player like OJ Mayo? Would our pick+Calderon/Ford be enough for us to get him. He could start at sg,and play pg if need be. He's just what the raps need.

I like it. Spot minutes at the 1 and he would easily be our best perimeter scorer.

Maybe it's just cause I have a man crush on OJ.

Doubtful in my opinion, teams tend to be optimistic with their draft picks after workouts, and considering I think ppl consider this a "strong" PG draft ... doubtful someone trades for a PG "who is a risk" (TJ) or Jose when they could just draft one

I like the idea, but not for Mayo. I don't see him wanting to be a Raptor.

I'd do a Calderon/Ford + 1st + filler to move up into the top 5 if that were possible (which I'm not sure it is).
