Very funny description. I'd still take him though
There's some other stuff in there as well, especially about Parker's old legs.

Parker's has a FG% of .333 in the clutch. Whether it's legs or nerves, I almost never expect him to make a shot towards the end of close games.

33% FG /44% eFG
I just checked and that's shockingly similar to what he shot last season.
33% FG /45% eFG
I would have guessed that his numbers were better than that last year.
EDIT: On a positive note, Bosh's clutch play numbers have improved by leaps and bounds over the last 3 years.

And both Jose and TJ are putting up out of the world clutch stats.

I also think he is very shakey at the line in clutch situations. IMO he plays too many minutes at times.

i see josh smith as a kind of baron davis of the east. different position but loads of talent and an enormous difference maker when he wants to play, but an erratic team player and a big distraction when he's in the wrong mood

I think that Smith's biggest issue is that he fancies himself a big time scorer when he's clearly not (at least to me). He can do some nice things offensively with his athleticism around the hoop but he's still an bad outside shooter with a very poor shot selection. (Has under 32% eFG% the past 2 seasons on jumpshots yet still hoists up almost 2 3-pointers per game).
That's the difference between Smith and say Andrei Kirilenko. They have very similar skill sets and can both have huge impacts on a game with their athleticism and defense but AK47 fully realizes that he's only going to be a complimentary player on the offensive end.

I would also compare him to Marion, both in skillset and mentality. I love the Matrix but everyyear he cries about not getting enough respect and wanting to be a number one guy. AK seemed to have a breakdown last year over a similar type thing, this year he seems to have come to grips though.

As usual, Grange with a great observation concerning Parker. Come to think of it, that really helps to explain his inconsistency between mid-November and Christmas: we played an extremely busy schedule (22 games in 39 days), and he saw fewer than 25 minutes only three times...and one such occasion was the final game pre-Christmas.
It's likely that he was basically gassed by the second week in December; definitely something that bears watching, as his minutes have spiked of late. Thankfully, it's not until the end of Feb. that we start playing a number of back-to-back and three-in-four game sets...but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he becomes much less effective in March: 17 games, and an entire season's worth of wear on his legs.
