Anyone else attending?

Just putting it on the record now that I suck at bowling. Coming from the East Coast, I was raised on candlepin. I'm lost using the larger bowling balls. Definately prepared to embarass myself in front of the Raptors.

I've attended in the past and 4 man teams were around $2500.

Its a good event. You get to meet a lot of the Raptors and you figure out pretty quickly who the good guys are towards fans (Mo Pete, Alvin, JYD) and who the jerks are towards fans (Vince, Hakeem).

I called them today. its 2500 dollars and only 1 spot is remaining. As a student, theres no way I can blow that much money. Ah well, maybe later on in life, I could do this. It looks like alot of fun since 2 raptor players are constantly rotating. Its at the bowlerama in etobicoke ... real good place !! have fun for whoevers going

I'll be going courtesy of Casino Rama. I think the prices are nuts because it is for charity, I know it wouldn't be in my budget if I were paying for it.

I wouldn't say Hakeem's a jerk towards fans. A bowling alley was probably way too wild of an environment for him (especially at the age he was at when he was with us). Culturally he probably felt awkward, he's just the conservative type.

Vince on the other hand...

I've met both Hakeem and Mamadou, and I can say they were two of the nicest celebrities/athletes I've seen in public... Hakeem especially was very patient as there were about a million kids running around his legs (he probably couldn't see them lol) and people asking questions... he shook everybody's hand and answered as much questions as he could...

Just wondering, from those who have gone to this before, will we be allowed to bring stuff to get signed? I would love to get either my Bosh jersey or Bargnani jersey signed, or both 8) .

Also wondering if the entire team attends or if only a few guys come out. Once I went to a tip off dinner and there were only 6 guys at the event, though all the other times it has been the entire team.

I believe this is an event that the entire team participates in. They were all there last year, IIRC.
