OT - Riding with Mo-Pete

Can't give you direct link but go here http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/index and on the top right there's a video of Mo taking part in Jamele Hill's (of ESPN Page 2) 'Riding With' segment.

Just Mo being Mo...talking about cars and Michigan State and family etc. But near the end he claims a Raptor 'tradition' which Jalen started (I think) as his own idea ;)

lol great video . I honestly miss Mo Pete. I can't believe he bought that car 24 hours before the interview. Lol. His car definitely beats Matt Bonner's Pontiac . Does anyone know if Mo Pete still owns that car shop in Toronto (Picture Perfect Motoring) and does he still own a place here in Tdot?

I miss Mo Pete for the circus shots - but to say he was good at defending is a huge over-statement; he was good at taking charges from time-to time, but other than that was poor to mediocre. Kapono is a much, much better 3 point shooter than MoPete and given the style we play more of an intregal part of our offense.

To me, Mo's number should be retired in Toronto. Who says that you have to be a great player to have your number retired. All that he did for the city and the team is enough to me.

I love Mo P. I bought his jersey on his rookie season. I love what he brought to the team. I'm just wondering what did he do for the city? Did he do anything above and beyond his Raptors obligations?

If so, Joey Graham should be retired as well. He does so much for the kids.

There is only one player that has been a Raptor that I would advocate to have his jersey retired - Alvin Williams. Though not the best athlete - you'll be hard-pressed to name another that played through so much pain and loved basketball as much as him.

Williams was a selfish person. He put himself over the team.

Funny. I see it as he put his career and his no cartilage knees on the line for the team.

Thats the same way I feel about Bargnani. The guy is quite selfish. The only passion he has, is to get his paycheck. He would careless about the whole team and about the fans. THe guy is a pure jerk.

Since you mentioned your time in Toronto, what did you think of Chris Bosh's YouTube video to promote his All-Star candidacy?

CB, that was a good commercial. Real unique. Original. He definitely deserves to be an All-Star. He thinks he's an actor. You ain't no actor, CB.

You said you were hazed as a rookie. What happened to you?

I won't say his name, but my rookie year, here I am in Philadelphia and it's 12:30-1:00 at night and I'm getting ready for bed because we have a game the next day. I get a phone call and he says, "Hey rook, I need you to go get me a wedding anniversary card and some balloons for my wife." It's 12:30-1:00 and nothing is really open. The only thing open was Walgreens, but the Walgreens in the area was closed. I had to catch a cab, like 45 minutes away, and find him a card because his wife was coming into town the next day. I had to pay my dues. I don't feel sorry for Julian and Adam because I had to get up. In fact, I think I might do that to them next.
