BC. bring us Lance please. He plays pick and roll ball and would fit in so nicely with Sam's system. He can shoot and most importantly he can REBOUND #1 in the d-league. A good guy with guts and a shot the tri-fecta.
Give us Lance.

He's 6 foot 11 and weighs 250 lbs yet only averages 0.4 blocks per game in pretty much 30 minutes a game, let alone in the D League.
The guy is simply a low post scorer who can rebound. Not and inside presence on the defensive end.

Well, two things: (1) we always need lost post scoring, and we always need rebounding, and (2) would this guy contribute anything more than Baston could?

baston is better to have than him, this guy cant shoot the three, he went 1/1 in ONE game...probably a heave or last second fluke or something...if we signed him instead of baston he would be just as good as baston and play just as many minutes. he is like a taller kris humphries with less defense and hops.

How many C's in the league shoot the three? Bargs...if you can even consider him a center, and besides, even he can't hit a frickin' 3-pointer anymore.

Allred, in his second D-League season with Utah, played sparingly early last season but has become one of the league's premier big men after being inserted into the starting lineup. At 6-11, 250 lbs., Allred has been a model of consistency for a Stampede team that has been one of the league's best over the past two season. He averages 18.2 points and 9.5 rebounds, and ranks second in the D-League with 13 double-doubles, including one stretch where he recorded six in a row.
Respert on Allred: "Lance Allred is making a strong push this season for an NBA call-up. He is a versatile big man who can post up and score in the low post, but is just as effective on the perimeter where his range extends to 18'-20'. He is also a very good rebounder and always seems to make the right play at the right time. Lance "Mr. Consistency" Allred may not jump out at you at first, but he is what most NBA teams need. With an emphasis on athletic ability and potential, it is unfortunate that scouts have missed on an opportunity to reward consistency."

You are right I've been scouting Lance since the start of the season when I figured Lance would be a glue player to replace Garbo.

Does this guy not realize that Pape Sow played in the D-League and avg'd much better #'s but couldn't break the Raps roster.
Sow was a better rebounder and shot blocker.
We don't need another 6'11 shooter who can't play D.

Yes I know Sow played in the D-League and tore it up. What does that have to do with Lance? What I like about Lance is that he is CONSISTENT. He makes the right play because he understands the game. He plays pick and roll offense with Utah and
in spite of his lesser athleticism he leads the league in rebounds per 48 mins. by using his brain.
As for him not being able to play D, you are way off on that Lance can play D and he does it really well. Sure he may not block a crap load of shots but he does take charges, helps really well and rarely lets his man "slip" away.
Lance would make an excellent role player on the Raps, and is a BC type of
winner who can shoot.

If I were picking a D-League Most Valuable Player out of this group, it would be Allred. That's probably a surprise, given there are much bigger names out there. Allred finished third in the nation in rebounding during a strong senior season at Weber State, but barely got on the NBA's radar. He's been impressive for the Stampede, rating as co-most valuable despite splitting minutes with a couple of assigned players (Portland's Josh McRoberts and Seattle's Mouhamed Sene). Allred isn't much of a shot-blocker, but he's a capable rebounder and a skilled offensive player with legit size.

I forgot to add that Lance's team the Stampede are on a MONSTER TEAR in the D-league with a 14 game win streak going.
Allred is the MVP of the best team in the D-League.
Raps need a glue guy big to help Bosh out until Bargs comes around. Lance is that glue guy.
