Shouldn't this go in the All-Andrea thread? Of course you mean it to be the most scathing (and 100% accurate) indictment possible.
I've been torn as to whether being excluded from the game would light a fire under AB's ass, or whether it would be better for him to play in a loose but competitive situation.

Would Josh Boone really make it over Andrea?

This season I believe he is more deserving
For the past month he's averaged 10 pts 9 boards with almost a block and a steal per game.
Bargnani hasn't even touched thoes numbers for most of the season.

bargs doesn't deserve to be there, but if up to the NBA he might still get there if only b/c he's a #1 pick.

I still say Bargs would make it over Boone. Not saying he's going to make it overall, but Boone making it over him is stupid.

Boone and Millsap are still just debatably above Bargs (Millsap isn't doing that much this year overall)... so I think he's still in the mix for now. And Boone has had some horrid games lately too.

I think it's pretty clear that Andrea isn't getting an invite. Just like Charlie and Channing played themselves off the sophmore team last season.
The 9 sophmores will probably come from this list of 11.
IN:
Rajon Rondo
Brandon Roy
Rudy Gay
Lamarcus Aldridge
Ronnie Brewer
Jordan Farmar
Daniel Gibson
BUBBLE:
Paul Millsap (8.5/5.7)
Craig Smith (10/4)
Kelenna Azubuike (10/4)
Josh Boone (7/6)
I would probably lean towads Millsap and Azubuike but who knows for sure.

Look at the stats and Millsap (21 mpg, same ppg, twice the rpg and more bpg, 51% FG% over Bargs is a no-brainer. Same with Craig Smith (21 mpg, 10/4 55% FG) over Bargs.

i dont think Craig Smith has a chance to make it based on Minnesota's record.

Probably. But he's still been pretty good. I'd go with Millsap ahead of him though.

Weird - I thought I'd looked at his stats recently and he wasn't playing much and the numbers were underwhelming. Tricked my eye somehow. You're right.

You would think they wouldn't just look at overall stats, but also recent trends. Especially with young,
theoretically developing players.
Here are the Wages of Wins season-end rookie selections from last year. Note that Bargs had a bad rookie season according to their criteria, and didn't make the cut.
First team
Rajon Rondo
Brandon Roy
Renaldo Balkman
Paul Millsap
Craig Smith
Second Team
Shelden Williams
Sergio Rodriguez
Tyrus Thomas
Randy Foye
LaMarcus Aldridge

Hmm, it's easy to say that the WOW methodology might be flawed, because "obviously" Bargs had a good season last year. But maybe the WOW approach accurately predicted Barg's meltdown this year?

I never knew the sophmore's had a voting system, way I understood it is the rookie team of the last all star game gets to face the new rookies of this season.
Im thinking the roster is exactly the same as it was last year as far as the sophmores are concerned, Bargnani included
