Hopla gives props to Toronto

Post#1 » by jmrosenth » Wed Jan 23, 2008 8:31 pm

Sorry for starting a new thread...wasn't sure where to put this.

Dave Hopla, shooting instructor extraordinaire recently started a blog:

http://www.davehopla.com/

Anyway, he had good things to say about Toronto and thought you'd want to know!

I have finally moved into my new place and my wife Carole and daughter McKenna are down for good. They have been traveling back and forth from Maine while Carole recuperated from her foot surgery. It

Thanks very much for the post. This puts to rest the rumours of why he left. Strictly family reasons, he seemed to love it here and was very thankful for the opportunity BC gave. Good to see the Raps being highly touted across NBA circles as a first class organisation, stems from the top I guess, and it all starts with BC.

I am disappointed the he was not able to return. I certainly understand his reasons for leaving, and I do not fault him. But he's just a shooting coach, and this situation could, and probably does arise when players are considering playing in toronto. and that bugs me...stupid borders...

No. This happened well before BC arrived. Pretty Much since when Herbie joined the Raps.

I meant it in a "if he has strong faith, and made that sort of commitment to it, good for him." I hear he's a nice guy, and have heard nothing to the contrary. I can respect peoples' faith, as long as they practice it respectfully, and in the absence of any evidence to the contrary, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
