As explained by David Aldridge on TNT, the Clippers had 2 deals for Maggette turned down by Sterling.

Deal 1:
Maggette + 1st round pick for Jason Terry

Deal 2:
Maggette for Beno Udrih + 2nd round pick

I didn't think that he was that cheap. Holy Smokes!

Ugh, both are horrible for the Clippers. The Clippers first rounder is going to be a high one, and Beno Udrih is a solid role player but no way is he worth Maggette.

Btw, if those are the kind of deals being offered for him we should get in on the Maggette sweepstakes.

Actually it was Magette for Terry + 1st round pick. Not Magette + 1st round pick.

Also, Beno Udrih deal didn't involve Magette. It was Udrih for a 2nd round pick as SA was looking to dump his salary but Clippers Owner didn't want to add Udrih's salary to the payroll.

That is terrible for the Clippers, Maggette is worth more then breakout year Beno and a 2nd. I am suprised they didn't push K-9 as well to sweeten it .

The first deal is ok not great or anything Dallas' pick would be hella late but after the recient steals in the draft I think all picks have some marit. I don't see how that helps the Clippers as Jet has a pretty long deal that expires in 2010 I belive.

wow, how about we throw em' tj ford or kapono + scrubs -- they can throw in knight too if we don't get damon

Corey Maggette + 1st round pick for Jason Terry
Beno Udrih for a 2nd round pick

SS, you're getting the terry deal wrong. It was Terry + 1st rd pick for Maggette.

I saw it too. One of the guys got it mixed up. Think for yourself, why would the clippers give up an expiring player in Maggette AND sureshot lotto pick for an overpaid shootfist PG?

Terry > Maggette
