I think it has more to do with pace, than the way the Raps are defense. The 03-04 team, played at the slowest pace, which is why the held their opponents to under 90 points. It was so bad watching that team win some games 72-68. I think opponents fg% is a better indication of defense than opponents ppg.

I think we have been scoring a lot because the Raps have been shooting the lights out the last few weeks. They took 69 shots in Boston, yet put up 114 points.

True, against Boston, where our shooting percentage was out of this world. But Jose for that game was in maximum drive and kick mode, setting up all the open looks we had. Rondo just couldn't keep up with him. Heinsohn speculated that Rondo might have some kinda injury as Telfair was doing the same thing last night.

Against Sacramento, the Kings were reintegrating injured players into the lineup. Caught them just at the right time.

I guess I'm saying the Raptors are crap when they lose, and lucky when they win.

I love listening to Heinsohn but one of the things that makes him so entertaining is that he can make an alibi for anyone or anything in green. Rondo looked okay to me when he had a clear path to the basket.

As for the Raps, defense doesn't happen by luck or accident, and when the raps are determined to play good defense they can be formidable. They deserve credit for that, particularly if you're going to call them crap on the many nights when they don't make the effort on D.

Offense, we do get lucky (if the other team isn't trying), and we are streaky, obviously.

For one BC would never go after a player with that type of history. Anderson is bad for the game and bad for the NBA. I hope they deny him reinstatement actually.

I think if our defence is better right now, it's because we've figured out how to make the best use of Rasho. When he came into the Atlanta game last week, they just couldn't make anything happen at all.

That's not much of a debate. It's clearly Tommy.

Chuck rarely blames refs for bad calls, when Tommy on the other hand will take up half the broadcast talking about one call.

Chuck also points out when the other team is playing well. If it wasn't for the play by play guy in Boston you would think Tommy could only see one team.
