REBOUNDS anyone???
A big part of why we lost tonight....im getting tired of watching anyone not in a raps uniform getting easy rebounds...2-3 more rebounds would have won us that game on 2nd chance points.....BC must be disgusted...hope he gets a banger for this team!

BC isn't disgusted. It's his fault.
He built this team... he knows he didn't trade for/sign any good rebounders. Moon is supposedly our second or third best rebounder, and he didn't play much in the final quarter/overtime. I could imagine Sam complaining to BC everyday about getting some more athletic guys and dudes who can rebound the friggin' ball.

Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

Your title basically says it all. It's obvious.
I'm o.k with bad shooting nights, it happens. But, the way that Wizards team out rebounded the Raps, especially in key possessions, was pretty pathetic.
It's just fundamentals though. We really don't need a guy thats a rebounding specialist. Its just that the players have to space themselves out better, the communication or awareness is not there on some plays. Especially the frountcourt, gotta box out.
But, whatever, its just the way the team plays. Hopefully, as this team matures they will improve.

"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

lol....ben wallace would already be here if we were the leafs.....but to tell u the truth i think wade belak can get more boards than 3/4 of the raptors.
I'd sign Belak but I think we have enough euros as is

One guy is not going to solve this rebounding problem..
The problem is the players BC acquired-- all shot happy offensive types who all look at each other waiting for somebody else to rebound... Moon is the only perimeter player who can rebound properly... Bosh is the only one inside most of the time, and he's way too skinny to outrebound 2 or 3 other opposing players...
Too many times the ball is in the air and Kapono, Delfino, AP, and even Jose are just staring around not even looking at where it might land.. they're more concerned with trying to keep up with their man... Bosh and Hump can only get the ones close to the basket since thats where they are most of the times.. but its up to the guards and other perimeter guys to get the long misses... rebounding is a team effort, not something left for the big guys...

Anyone who thinks that the current collection of players we have now can be coached or motivated into rebounding is fooling themselves. We are what we are. The responsibility to rectify this basically lies with Colangelo now.
I'll tell you this much: as long as we're this vulnerable to coughing up 2nd chance points, I can only half-heartedly cheer for this team.

Our defense is fine, they have to miss thoes shots for them to get the offensive rebound. Our defense is not in panic mood right now, but our rebounding most definetly is. We are sooo bad at rebounding. How many teams lose games because of rebounding? Not any top teams thats for sure.

I think Magloire would be very useful if he was on our team. We need hungry-hustle guys who has a nose for the ball, no more soft finest players...The reason we cannot rebound is that everyone seem to switch on D which will cause match-up problems when rebounding. Also it looks like most of our guys just stare at the ball and not block out their man. The solution is that we fight through screens and not switch on D and get a Big man along with Bosh to board. New Jersey is looking to have a wholesale as Kidd wants out and i won't surprised that they will look to rebuild so maybe we can look into getting Collins or Magloire?
