If you give a Raptors fan a draft pick

If you give a Raptors fan a draft pick...they'll want a starting player.
When you give them the starting players...they'll probably ask for rookie of the year.
When the season's finished, he'll ask for a big name play to come over in free agency and send their picks to free up space, they'll double check with BC.
When they talk to BC they'll probably notice that their team is full of European players, so they will probably complain about all the euros and ask for some home grown talent.
When they've finished whining about the euro talent, they'll move onto moan about how soft the team is. They'll start complaining, and they might get carried away. They might even end up whining about how poor at rebounding the team is.
When they're done they'll probably want an all-star break. You will have to vote the Raptors players in. They'll rant and rave about how much more talented their players are than the rest of the NBA.
They'll ask you to tell them about their playoff runs in the past, and get so excited they'll want to make a playoff run themselves!
They'll ask to sign a new coach, and when they do, they'll praise him for a week about being the best thing since sliced bread.
Then they'll want their coach to be named the Coach of the year which means the team will have to get some wins first.
Looking at their progress from last season they'll remember they need more talent...so they'll trade for another draft pick, and chances are if they have another draft pick they'll want rookie of the year

The moral of this story is we're doing even better than we were last year. Don't get greedy, don't freak out. It's one game.

Amen.
I enjoyed the method by which you proved your point.
Ever read the book "If you give a mouse a cookie?"

Just noticed that the entire thing is written exactly to the book "If you give a mouse a cookie."
Even better

This is true, it applies to the Toronto power of 10 rule, but really I think we're going a bit overboard on this one

Can someone explain to me why I always see on online forums people will edit their double post instead of just deleting them? I'm not picking on you I'm just curious.

LOVED the post OP..thx for bringing it up and putting it so eloquently. The only thing I'd add to that is high school kids according to whom the world of X-Box and PS3s transitions into real world.
