A lot better. They are supposed to contend, so I can only imagine what their fans are feeling. For whatever reason, I got kind of angry watching the game tonight (and I only saw the 4th and OT). That's never happened this season as I've always had the opinion that this team isn't going places right now and BC still has work to do. But seeing freakin Blatche and Mason and Aguire play like freakin all-stars, it just ticked me off.

They were without Tony Parker, but yeah still surprised that they lost.
Durant had a big game.
You know what's funny though, the Spurs are only 2 games out of 9th seed in the playoffs and they are going through a 9 game road trip. :O

The difference is, the Spurs will be competing for a championship, while the Raptors will have to fight extremely hard in the first round.
The luxury of being an elite team (Spurs) over an average-good team (Raptors).

You understand the Spurs always cruise the month before the all star break right? Ask Rasho.

When an elite team loses to a bad team, it will be looked upon as a fluke or the elite team just let the bad team win, and they didn't really try hard. As a result, the bad team can't lay claim that they are better than the elite team despite the win.
When an average-good team losses to a bad team or are in a situation where they should have won, then the opposing team can lay claim that they are better than you in the victory.
The luxury of being an elite team.........yup!

You know what, that's not exactly accurate at this point.
They're sitting 6th in the West right now, and are only 2 games up on the 9th place Golden State
And now with Parker injured, they should continue to slide.
All of a sudden these guys are looking at playing IN Dallas or Phoenix in round 1, and they can't be looking forward to that.
I'd say they need wins more than we do. We're basically assured a 3-6 spot.

Why would that make anybody feel better?.. They're the defending champs and they don't give a **** about the regular season... They're not sweating their playoff seedings like we are, Seattle is not a possible playoff opponent for them, and they have a history of turning it up in April and May...Plus they lost in the final few seconds while we were blown out by the Sonics...

It doesn't matter if their a championship contender or not. The West is so close that these 2-3 game losing streaks have a significant impact on the standings. The Spurs are playing for a lot more than we are, Kurtz nailed it.
Just look at the Lakers, they were #1 not so long ago and now they're down at 5th seed and continuing to slide.

This has to be sweet for PJ Carlesimo. To be able to beat a juggernaut and former employer.
It'll be sad to see Seattle leave for Oklahoma.

They'll start to worry when they continue to lose games with 7 games left in their road trip and knowing Parker is out at least another 2 weeks. When you have Jacque Vaughn as your starter and no one backing him up you know youre in trouble. This has gone past 'coasting' IMO.
