lmao wtf.. somewhere out there, a player got shafted.
maybe this has something to do with Stern wanting to reach out to the country of Italy and his desire for globalization of the game.

Should also mention that Moon is on the rookie team.

Wow I'm very surprised. Bargnani does not deserve to be there and there's going to be a lot of Bargnani bashing from other team's fans in the upcoming days because of this.

Nice to see Il Mago get in

How will the announcers describe his game? He's a key to the game. 2006 1st overall pick. 2nd overall rookie of the year voting. But complete regression this year.

STFU Barg haters. He will destroy the competition and show the world his true hidden potential.
12 pts 3 rebs 35% shooting.

Holy Somkes, BC comes through again!
I can think of at least three players who are more deserving:
Josh Boone
Craig Smith
Shawne Williams

More like 4 pts 2 bds 4 fouls... can't argue with the 35%
Moon... 4 blks.... 2 on Bargs.

bargs doesnt deserve to go, but then again its prolly some NBA rule...#1 overall picks must be in rookie games
i thought it would have been good for him to miss out, and really send a message to him

Bargs wasn't ever out of the picture - he just wasn't making himself a shoe-in like many of them. He was up against guys like Azubuike, Craig Smith, etc - none of whome are starting, or head and shoulders above him. And none have any marketing appeal at all other than Bargs. They went real small on the soph team:
By position:
Sophs:
Aldridge
Bargnani/Millsap
Gay
Roy/Brewer
Rondo/Farmar/Gibson
Rooks:
Horford/Williams
Yi/Scola
Moon/Green
Durant/Navarro
Conley
That team is light on PGs.

Actually when I looked at it, there really are not that many worthy candidates over Bargnani, which is sad. The players for which there could be a case made for are:
Tyrus Thomas
Thabo Sefalosha
Josh Boone
Kyle Lowry
Renadlo Balkman
Craig Smith
I think Craig Smtih is the name that really jumps out at me. He's averaging 9.8 PPG on .547 shooting and 4.8 RPG.

Im surprised Bargs actually made the team, Moon definitely deserves to be there

Bargs really doesn't deserve it. He's on the bubble for sure, but I'd have rather him not going and just take the days off.
Moon of course, deserves to be there and can't wait to see what flashy moves he pulls off.
