Random awkwardness between Chuck + Leo

Anyone else catch that?
Chuck asked Leo who he'd rather take.. Lebron or Kobe, then Leo blabbered on for 3 mins. discussing why he'd pick Lebron and trying to defend his choice..
And then Chuck pulls a 180 and says something along the lines of who would you rather have playing for you in a game seven in the playoffs.. then Leo just flat out flips and pulls a beach fit.
Which is then followed by an awkward silence from Chuck.
This isn't a knock on our broadcasters or nothing, but come on.. is a little proffesionalism too much to ask?

then Leo just flat out flips and pulls a beach fit.
What does this mean? What did Leo say?
I didn't see the game, but Leo is generally awkward when he tries to kibitz with Chuck, trying to be a poor man's Bill Walton or whatever. Chuck and Jack are so much more comfortable together, it's a shame Jack doesn't do more of the games.

Its cuz Chuck and Jack are sharing a bed together.. and so are Jose and Bosh..
TJ and Leo just feel left out.. thats all..

Well Chuck first asked Leo who he'd rather have if he were to assemble a team.. Lebron or Kobe?
Then Chuck rephrases the question to try and 1up Leo (he asked Leo you'd rather have Lebron than Kobe in the playoffs?).. and Leo was furious for some reason, and you can tell from the way he was muttering under the mic..
Chuck was very, very silent after Leo's little tantrum..

Chucks pulled his share of little on-air tantrums too. I'd say Chuck gets much easily upset and offended than Leo (remember the interview with Babcock during the game after he was fired?)

I don't remember exactly what happened, but I'm pretty sure it was a game in Minnesota not too long after he was fired, and one of the other reporters (for TSN or sportsnet or whatever station) did a little interview with him in the stands.
I don't remember the specifics of what he said, but basically he made a comment implying Swirsky was two faced (something about the number of cameras nedded to capture all the sides of his face or something like that if I remember correctly).
Then they went back to Swirsky, and it was just sreally awkward, again, i don't really remember his reaction....I just remember thinking it was a really funny/awkward couple minutes.
Perhaps someone who remembers it more clearly could give a better recap.
I guess you can't really blame Swirsky for reacting awkwardly to that...but, there have definitely been several times, either on his show or during broadcasts, that he has taken things way too personally or just taken them flat out the wrong way and made things way more awkward then they should have been.

yea chuck seemed really hurt when he was called ugly, he had that nervous sad laughter for a few mins, like if you were to read his mind he was thinking "damn do i really look ugly

" after that babcock interview

It was no big deal. Here's what happened. Chuck tried to lead Leo with his question. He asked Leo who he'd rather have, Kobe or Lebron. It was obvious Chuck wanted Leo to say Kobe. Chuck had some more stuff to say about Kobe. And Kobe is coming on Friday.
Anyways, Leo says Lebron. Basically Lebron is younger and only getting better....can play multiple positions.
So, Chuck, to try and get back to his point, says....."If I had a game 7 and could have anyone....."
Leo says, "Chuck, you just changed the whole question." And I think he was right. He did change the whole question. It wasn't even much of a question to begin with. Why choose just between Lebron and Kobe? Chuck wanted the answer to be Kobe, but Leo messed up by overthinking. But I give Leo credit for answering the question he was asked.

Ummm...was I the only one who realized that they were just joking around. Leo was doing his usual "I don't believe you, Chuck" - how does anyone actually make something of this...

Also, last night when they were discussing the MGD Smooth Play of the Game. They had two plays and Chuck stated it was a 2-4.
Leo went on rambling about Chuck's problem and how he should get on a 12-step program.
I realize he is joking around, but, I dont really want to here it. Plus, it wasnt funny and was downright politically incorrect.
I think that Chuck and Leo would keep their feet out of their mouths if they stuck to basketball rather than comedy skits, political commentary, or whatever else they feel like discussing.

the best was the "Next game, how about the next play" followed by 2 min of silence and the "are you mad at me Chuck" from Jack last year. Also, Please bring back the "Hello" T shirt. Jack's shirt pwned!.

what is really annnoying of leo, is his constant mention of anything remotely related to Syracuse and his son. Its practicaly consistent to the point that when Andre Blache takes a shot, i'll hear the praises of Syracuse this and that a few seconds later.

IMO, it was awkward and took away from the broadcast. You could tell there was this uncomfortable silence, and when you are supposed to be calling a game you really don't want those kinds of moments...

This wasn't the first time Chuck and Leo had an awkward silence during a conversation n such. I think I catch it atleast once every game - maybe once every two games. I sometimes think that their relationship is a bit worse than they lead people to believe. They often throw a little jab at each other - then Chuck just says "I love ya, Leo".

i personally enjoyed Leo's first-quarter assessment of Blatche:
"I love his package."
that had me laughing quite a bit.
and if you want politically incorrect, you obviously don't listen to the pre-game radio show. A few weeks back, Jones was telling Smith about the best bbq ribs. Smith started rambling about how Jones loves the BBQ and, before the game, he saw Jones (who is black) reaching for an orange pop.
Smith then says "orange pop, bbq ribs....you pretty much have every stereotype covered!!"
