Not surprised at all and if you put yourself in his shoes, theres no way hes coming to Toronto or any Eastern conference team for that matter.

Not sure if anyone remembers, but back when Damon was still a Raptor, albeit a very unhappy one (this is right after Isiah left), one of the rumored trade destinations for him was San Antonio.

He thought it would be a good fit because, as he said "They're not winning a championship with Avery Johnson."

They didn't trade for him, and won a championship with Avery Johnson a few months later.

Not a criticism of Damon, necessarily, just a reminder of how much one (especially one in the public eye) should watch his words.
