What this trade means for the Raptors

I think this trade will provide a lot of Problems in the east. GM's in the west will now feel the need to make a splash and tinker with their roster after the trade by the Lakers. We now see why it was important for Rod Thron to hold on the kidd trades as now his value has gone up. Teams will be looking to give more value as they will now feel the need to be active in acquiring another player. Now teams like the Nets, Knicks, Miami, and Milwaukee will get more value for their players. This might not have a direct impact to the Raptors as of this season, however we could see the east get strong talent through draft picks and young players in the leaugue all sparked by this trade.

It means Navaro has no reason to play in Memphis and should join garbo and Calderon on the Raptors.

Even if you are correct... no disrespect... but how much does this thread warrant room for discussion or debate? What else is there to be said about your "opinion"? Nothing.
New threads are not needed for opinions. This should have been posted in the Pau to Lakers thread as a continued outlook for the same topic.
Sorry Mods for acting like a backseat mod.

This trade means nothing to the Raps unless they play the Lakers in the finals.

Seriously, do you see Miami trading Wade? No. Shaq? What does he represent for 2-3 years down the road. Nothing.
Nets. Not trading RJ. Carter's value is at an all-time low. Kidd? Sure, they may get back a player who helps them as much as Kidd does now.
Milwaukee. Yes, they have been a trade candidate, but they are already rebuilding. If they move CV, that's basically what they probably planned to do all along.
Knicks. Rebuilding? You're joking. Isiah says his players are untouchable.
Here's what an active trading season would mean if Eastern teams contribute to a dumpfest.
We play the Heat four times, Nets three times, Milwaukee at least once more, Knicks three times more.
Yummie, yummie cupcakes.

Funny, i thought this would depress kidd's value. He was gonna be traded to the lakers or the mavs. And considering gasol is worth and expiring and cerrington + 2 1sts. (basically 3 low first round picks).

Its time for BC to get an All star calibre player to join CB4 on this team. Next year my friends.. Be patient.

It means we should try to get Kwame cheap and then trade him. Seriously this dudes a blue chip on the trade market. Traded for Caron Butler, and Pau Gasol!

It means Memphis can offer a LOT of money to Jose now. More than BC was thinking when he said he would "match any offer". I already said this in a thread a while ago: all it takes is ONE team and that's it.

FOR REAL!!!
But you got to give a lot to get him in the first place.
LA was a little different than this, they saw his "potential" (I hate that word.. it is over rated), and gave up CARON FREAKIN BUTLER for a scrub..... At least they made up for it with this deal, now it looks like Butler for Gasol.
This time, Kwame is much more valuable, and NOT BECAUSE MEMPHIS think he is a good player anymore LOL... because he is worth a 10 million dollar free agent.

Why would the Griz invest tons of money in Jose when they have a stud prospect in Mike Conley who is starting right now?

Because they can. And why not pair up Conley and Jose? Conley is still on his rookie contract.

I think Isiah has confused the idea of "untouchable" with "should not be touched".

I don't know what it means to the Raps, but Lakers-Celtics finals >>> Spurs-Pistons finals
