Okafor?

I think Okafor would be a perfect fit here, not only what he brings to the court but hes also a smart person with a good attitude...i think him and bosh would compliment each other nicely...he doesnt demand the ball, hes a double double guy and a good defender...what would the raps have to give up for a guy like him?..would charlotte let him go for the right package?

Don't know if it's still true, but I remember hearing that Okafor wanted Dwight Howard money.

Also, no way we have anything to match Okafor's value, asides from Bosh and Calderon.

I absolutely agree. Okafor's offensive game is missing but his defense and rebounding is unreal. Perfect for this team but two questions..
1. Are the 'Cats willing to part with Emeka yet...
2. Does this mean we're giving up on Bargnani at centre?
For the kinda money he wants and the fact that Bargs won't get enough time...I'll say no. But he's exactly what we need...a humphries plus, plus, plus, plus.

I also see Lebron as a perfect fit here, what would it take to get a guy like him? Would CLE let him go for the right package? How about KG? Baron? Stoudemire?

what about Bargs or ford when he gets back..although after last nights 29 ppl might not want to trade bargs today although im sure the next game he struggles there will be more ppl on this board willing to trade him!!.i also think 1 of delfino parker or kapono needs to get traded...they are to alike..and theres always draftpicks.

theres no way we can sign him and calderon at the same time in the off season

It's really not that kind of situation. The question is whether the Bobcats think Okafor is their franchise player. It's highly unlikely but he's the exact player we need.

Are you being sarcastic?...i think okafor is more realistic to obtain than they are...but if you were trying to be funny.....keep trying!

You gotta learn quickly here. He wasn't trying to be funny--he was telling the OP that this is stupid because a lot of players in the NBA fit well with the Raptors. Don't like to stereotype to how many posts you have but you need to get a little more experienced.

IMO we need a change on this team, but not change for the sake of change.

Yes, thank you AB_21 for that clarification.
I just find it hard to believe that Charlotte will let Okafor go for mere petty pieces. He definitely won't go for Bargnani + Dixon + Graham or w/e combination you guys can stir up.. and he wont go for Calderon + filler for the fact that the Cats already have an up and coming PG in Felton.
You can also cancel out Ford in that regard.. as he is way too much of a liability with his recent injury..
He won't go for AP, Humphries, Garbajosa, Moon, D-Mart.. won't also go for Kapono and Delfino.
But he WOULD go for Bosh, so I guess there IS a shot at landing Okafor.

Okafor would be a great fit but HOW would we get him is the big question.

he's not that special of a player. he's a solid rebounder/shotblocker but we don't exactly have to throw the house at a 13 & 10 guy who's entering his prime at 26 years old.
i think a bargs + 1st is enough to get him. not that i necessarily want him.

Well as far as im concerned thats exactly what forums like this are for, speculation, ideas, and thoughts ppl have....what else are we going to talk about...the way i see it if you dont like a topic dont post....and i dont stereotype against "experianced posters", but everyone on this board isnt a qualified NBA General Manager like you guys are so just relax and let ppl share their opinions...and if you dont like it, you dont really have to post!

U must have missed yesterdays trade....who would have thought Gasol would get traded for critt and brown....and to say they wouldnt want calderone because they have felton??? i guess the sonics wouldnt trade for calderon either...they have 3 pointgaurds....but i guess you know best...afterall you do post more than i do!

This is exactly the kind of centre I'd love to have next to Bosh. He's a terrific rebounder/shot-blocker, a physical player in the post and isn't a terrible offensive option, either. He hasn't developed into the 20 point-per-game scorer many expected he would become, but he's still good for 13-15 points per game (with good percentages, too).
You wouldn't have to sell the farm to acquire a player like Okafor, but you'd really have to make it worth Charlotte's while.

everyone wants toughness and rebounding on this team...he fits the bill...id give up bargs in a package for him

Charlotte will not take anything less that Bosh for Okafor. Although if we find some way to land him without giving up Bosh, it would be the perfect scenerio.
