makes no sense... i thought the reason they were looking at trading marion in the first place was to avoid the luxury tax. this trade hurts them cap-wise and hurts them talent-wise.

Weird. I would be very surprised if that occurred.

Colangelo definitely would not do that if he was still in 'Zona.

There's already a thread on this on the front page BTW..

Dumb move for Phoenix if it happens... Kerr has sucked so far, this would be too much...

I can definitely believe this. Yeah Shaq's on the decline..but look at it this way. Amare's role will increase and you add Shaq to that front court. Move Amare back to his natural position at the 4.

Shaq will definately be motivated. The Suns know they need a shakeup like this in order to win it all. Something has to give in order to get over the hump.

Way to slow down the team, might as well have paramedics sitting on the sidelines.
My name is Taiyab, and I realize there is an intra-team conflict at the Point Guard spot.

ANswer to both questions is no.

I hope this trade happens and the Suns win the title this year. Shaq is the like the Lone Ranger.

I thought Robert Sarver aka the Suns Owner wanted to cut salary which they did by trading away Kurt Thomas, James Jones, and all of those 1st round draft picks..... So why would the Suns now want to take on Shaq and his 20 mill/year over the next 2 years??

Would be horrible for the Suns if they did this...

The Lakers acquisition of Gasol is putting pressure on teams like the Suns to counter.

14/8 on 60% shooting so far this season.

Add in the Steve Nash effect and the motivation factor, I could easily see Shaq putting up 20/10 with Phoenix, possibly even more.

How bitter would Kobe be if the Suns got Shaq and knocked off the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals?

if the suns do this trade its simply to get the 1st round pick which would be very nice this year..

banks would be included, so that may explain it a little more from phoenix's end.
would be interesting to see how shaq would fit in...i suppose they'd have to drastically change their style of play?
