If KG sits then his spot should be given to Hedo Turkoglu. The East will need another forward over another PG.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree. The All-Star game is all about dunks, flair and pulling off moves you can't do in a regular season game.
This makes a player like Carter, despite all his flaws, that much more exciting to watch.
Plus, I'd take Carter's 21/6/4 over Jose's 12/3/9
Mind you, I still despise VC.
