ESPN Cancels Raptors Game/ Possible Error in TV Schedule

I don't have a link, but tomorrow's game against the Spurs was supposed to be on ESPN... The Lakers/Heat game on right now showed the schedule and it was not listed... Check ESPN's TV schedule on their website and college basketball is supposed to be aired instead...

So I guess they realized we're wildly inconsistent and decided to not show 1 out of the 2 freaking games we were supposed to play on national television, aside from crappy NBA TV...

So we basically had 2 NBA TV games, 1 ESPN game, and 0 TNT games this year...

EDIT: Confirmed, it was cancelled...

Also, Sportsnet canned the game tonight against the Wolves. What's up with that? It was ADVERTISED everywhere and in the pocket schedule and then a few days before the game, moved the Raps TV?

Oh well, ESPN is clearly just going for the game they feel will get them the highest ratings.

Raptors vs. Spurs in the states isn't a very interesting game to most people.

Being dropped from ESPN is good news. If memory serves correct, we sucked last time we were on US national television.

So... what?

I don't get why the fans here are always yearning for love from down south, but at the same time get scared when our players start to get noticed by the league (Jose to All-Star game, anyone?).

Either be attention whores full time and always want publicity for our guys or just be indifferent about it. Preferrably the latter though.

It matters! Do you want JVG, Mark Jackson, Bill Walton, Hubie Brown, Mike Tirico etc. etc. calling your games or Chuck and Leo?

Well it doesn't matter that much for us, but for a lot of the players I guess they would want their families back home to be able to watch them play, since they don't get much opportunity to do so...

And Bosh mentioned more than once in interviews that guys know when games are on US national tv, they get more pumped up then usual...

It's called discussion. No one in this thread has said "argh I hate ESPN, they don't love us". Let it be.

Man the hassle of crossing over the border.. meh not worth it being in foreign territory. The cartoons where some character goes into a forest and its all dark and all the trees have evil eyes on them, thats what ESPN feels like coming here.

Even if the game is on ESPN we will not get the ESPN feed here in Canada.

ESPN does not show NBA games on Monday night. That game was never scheduled to be on ESPN that I know of.

Oh, and the Heat- Lakers game on now is on ABC- not ESPN. They actually moved the Spurs- Celtics game to an earlier time so that ABC could air it. That was the game that was added to the ABC schedule.

unless the game was picked up midseason and then dropped, at the beginning of the season i remember the january detroit game being our only one on ESPN.

I printed out the Raptors pocket schedule from the beginning of the season and it has always shown that today's game vs the Wolves is on RTV (Raptors TV). So I don't know where the Sportsnet reference is coming from. To me knowledge, it was always supposed to be on RTV.
