Have the same hostility for Vince when he comes back again on Wednesday? Nobody is even talking about it anymore, usually leading up to the game this board would be getting amped up. But now that the Nets suck and Vince has it so bad, and the fact that he's been also sucking it up this season. Do most Raptor fans care much anymore?

I expect boos, but nowhere near what we saw in the playoffs.

The Nets sucked and kicked our a$$ in the playoffs last year ... but anywho, in answer to your question, there will probably be the same hostility at the ACC for Vince ... in terms of this board, I think a lot of people have moved on ...

last i checked, we're not a premiere team either. sure our record's better but they're a playoff team, we're a playoff team and neither teams are contenders.

Nets beat the Mavs last night. VC led his team in pts 29 rbs 9 stls 2 and blks 2. after being clocked in the head and going to the dressing room. Now he's not due for another good game for a few weeks but they'll remember the playoffs and the blowout and they will come to play, if they weren't already the crowd will at least get the nets into it. I think it will still be a good game despite the records, and it will mean a lot if we can win, it. Especailly if we win it tonight. For a contrast let's compare the reaction Bonner gets tonight with the reaction Carter gets.

Well, there is no way the intensity will be the same as the playoffs. That's why there are the playoffs man.

But why would people move on? He's our very own villain. That's worth it's weight in gold.

And we got spanked last year, not much point in talking smack until we exorcise some demons.

I think the playoff series last year was part of our "closure".

Hell hath no fury like a Raptors fan scorned. If anything, the fans will take more pleasure in heckling him about the Nets' lack of success in addition to the usual choruses of boos.

One big difference with the Nets if we match up with them this year is that they've traded Jason Collins. He was always very good in defending Bosh . . .replacing him with the useless Stromile Swift seems like kind of a dumb move.

Would the Nets still beat us in a 7 games series?

We're ever-improving with a year more of seasoning. The Nets have regressed and heavily relies on Kidd to give out 15assists and Carter to have near 30pts to have a chance to win.

Given its not impossible for either player, its not as expected as before.

That's actually a really, really big matchup change.

Bosh has some troubles against non-shotblocking bigs/position defenders.

With Sean Williams, Boone and Stro biting on every pump fake, it will be interesting to see how the Nets compensate on D.

I just think its different now. When the team was really struggling, we didnt look forward to every match up, because most of the time it was a loss, lots of times embarrasing. Vince games were something even casual fans could get behind. Vince left the team in turmoil, and he was hated for it.

Now, the team is doing well, and on the right track. I think the team realized last year that there are way more important things in the season than the couple of times Vince came to town. Now its another game that we have a good chance to win, and should.

I am not a Vince fan at all, quite the opposite. However the better the Raps do overtime, i think the less significant Vince will become. We had to hate him, he left us with damn near nothing. Now that we KNOW its better without him, it seems we are just moving on.

Oh wait, they're only 2 wins behind last year's pace despite going 0-6 without Kidd and Carter. And even though Carter's scoring is down he is still above his career average in FG%, FT%, RPG, and APG. 20.7/5.6/5.0/2.07 A:TO is hardly "sucking it up". "Sucking it up" would be like 17 PPG/4 RPG/3 APG/0.98 A:TO.

I would LOVE to meet them in the first round again. It's not likely though. It would probably only happen if we finished 3rd/6th again.

I heard Samuel Dalembert got a big celebration when the Sixers played in up in Toronto against the Raptors, are the rumors about Vince getting a big celebration / hype fest true too?

I think it would be a very classy thing to do for the player who put the Raptors on the map.

Dalembert got a little presentation ceremony for his efforts with the national team; nothing too big.

And Vince will have his ceremony, in 8-10 years, when the team retires his jersey. It would seem a little silly to honour him randomly, three years after departing, no?

If the Nets had won behind great performances from Vince, then yes - but the fact is that they won more despite Vince than because of him. It was much more Richard Jefferson, Jason Kidd, and Mikki Moore who beat us.

They won "despite" Vince? I guess you were watching a different series than I was. I saw him average about 25PPG and leading all scorers on both teams. He made key plays near the end of game 1 and had great performances in games 3 and 4. Without his 25 PPG the Raptors would have likely swept.
