Two-game leave for Sam Mitchell
Posted: Mon Feb 11, 2008 10:04 pm
Sam Mitchell will not be with the Raptors until after the NBA all-star break, having returned to his Atlanta home Monday to be with his family after the death of his father-in-law, the team announced.
Mitchell will return to his head coaching duties for the Feb. 23 game against the Orlando Magic, giving him more than a week to spend with his wife, their four children and his wife

Damn, sad news ... RIP to his father-in-law, and take your time Sam.
I guess this is a good time to see how the team operates without the coach.

Condolences to Sam's family.
Interesting to know that each assistant coach is assigned to do the scouting report for each game. I just thought all the assistants do it together. Although impossible, it'll be fascinating to know the record of each ass. coach when they do the scouting report.

I wonder what we'll look like with Evans running the ship. Any predictions?

Dammit, if Bargs and TJ play well tonight, who are we going to blame the loss on tonight?

I honestly don't think there will be much change. I think both Evans and Triano will stick to Sam's plan and go with the rotation that Sam has gone with. Any major changes is kind of saying: "Hey Sam, this is what you should be doing..."

Looking forward to seeing Triano coach
