So, that's why Detroit has a better record than us? Because they're better? Always puzzled me.

Exactly... Those wins in the West, especially in San Antonio, New Orleans, and at home against the Rockets, Blazers, Mavs shows we're not that far away from the middle-upper tier... Not elite tier though...

The fact is, Detroit and Boston are not only the two best teams in the East, but the two best teams in the NBA... so scratch them, we ain't good enough to beat them consistently....Orlando was early in the year, and that Washington loss was an anomaly...

Cleveland is the only team that I would say has our number and is at our level... Everybody else in both conferences can be had on any given day...

No offense but beating the rockets and blazerz doesnt show much when talking about top tier teams. Your talking about 8th and 10th place teams in the west dude.

You have to remember 8th or 9th placed teams in the West are just as good as 3rd or 4th placed teams in the East.

Blazers were one of the hottest teams in the NBA when we beat them.. In fact we almost beat them in Portland when they were starting that streak... They beat a lot of good teams....They have levelled off, but they're still a good team, playing tough against the powers in the West...

Houston is 11 games above .500 last time I checked, which would be good for about 3rd place in the East...

Thats alot of top teams then, so there is 14 top teams and we have only one a handful of games against all of them thus far. How many teams are there in the league?

I was talking about upper-middle tier, and how we're pretty close to their level.. above them there is the elite tier, which pretty much consists of Boston, Detroit, Phoenix, Dallas, and San Antonio... basically proven (aside from Boston), serious championship contenders....

Then there is New Orleans, Utah, Lakers, Denver, Houston, Golden State, Orlando....

I say we're slightly below that second group, along with Cleveland and Portland.... Very close though... Everybody else sucks or is rebuilding...

Records don't mean anything when you are in the playoffs. So Boston is up 3 games to 1 this season with us. It doesn't mean they will do the same in the playoffs.

I don't care who we beat really. The objective for the Raptors is gain home-court advantage and play hard every game to give themselves a chance to win.

whatever, bottom line is regular season games are barely worth something, raptors just need to keep working on bargnani this year
