I'm not trying to start anything...maybe I'm still down from last nights game, whatever.

Has Bosh really learned to pass from the double team...its the same thing that happened in the playoffs and I cant see that changing...Sam's said numerous times he's learned, maybe its just me...what do you guys/girls think? I haven't seen it yet...

He gets the ball, holds it up, waits to long...make the pass Bosh.

you are over reacting..

you have to think about it this way... the defense is most likely going to clog your passing lanes and obstruct you from passing the rock when you have it in the post. it's not as 'easy' as just "passing it out"

You are overreacting to one game against one of the best teams defensively in the league. Could he be better? Yes, but that doesn't mean he hasn't improved, he has. He's actually been good this year at kicking it out. He has to learn to be quicker with it at times though because teams like SAS and other's will send doubles from all different places, especially come playoff time.

Bosh knows how to make the pass.....its just he has no one to pass to when the team all stands around watching him waiting for him to do something.

I noticed sometimes Bosh keeps the ball to himself when the team isn't shooting very well. We only get hammered when we don't shoot well + Bosh doesn't get calls.

When the double teams come hard, like this did last night, somebody is open and Bosh has to find him quickly. If he moved the ball as aggressively as they double him, the double teams would lose efficiency. The point is to keep the ball moving.

For example, how often does Bosh pass out of the post, repost, etc. He can do more of it to keep defences honest.

Last night, Bosh's jump shot wasn't dropping and he was forcing his low post game. He should have become a passing threat but instead, became a minor black hole. Hopefully, with experience, he'll get better at this.

Bosh does need to pass a bit quicker at times and right now I think he's still working at it, but good opposing defenses (like last night) do a great job of cutting off the passing lanes when the Raptors become more stationary, and the Raptors do have a nasty habit of becoming stationary and just thinking Bosh will handle the offense. It happened last night until Bosh got pissed off at his teammates and suddenly they started moving a bit and Bosh was able to get them the ball in shooting positions.

The most effective and easiest way for bigs to pass out of double teams is if you have your back to the basket. That's why Duncan, Shaq, etc make their team so good. Bosh doesn't have this type of game. He is a face up player, a shooter. And this does not draw the same type of double teams as a back to the basket type player.

We need to repost him.

Bosh's passing out of double teams is adequate, but could get alot better. He's definitely not a natural passer. The repost is something we see rarely too.

One thing I've noticed about Bosh is that once he starts to make his move to the basket, he rarely passes it off. This is fine for the most part, because alot of the time he scores, but sometimes teams can gameplan for it and he needs to kick it out. This is a pretty difficult thing for a 7 footer to do.

It's a shame Andrea has limited post ability. In the little bit we've seen, he's an excellent & willing passer. He got double in the post yesterday once and zipped it out really quick which results in some ball movement around the perimeter for an open shot.

I think this is one aspect of his game that will become more polished with a few more playoff runs. I don't think Bosh knows how to anticipate the double. He usually waits until the double is all over him before he decides to pass. Even though there's an open man somewhere, by waiting, he's also letting the defence "prepare" to chase down the open man. Once he starts anticipating the double, he'll make passes while the double is caught in "no mans" land, and this will keep the defence on its heels.

This however is not a huge concern, the kid is 23 and he's only going to get better. As a fan I like the fact CB4 has not yet shown us what his ceiling will be. Some players are what they are, and then theres the special players who constantly add weapons to their arsenal as they gain experienc. I think CB4 will finish his career as one of the premier power forwards to ever play the game. Call me a homer, but honestly feel this guy hasn't even scratched the surface.

Bosh needs to improve his passing big time, I mentioned it in the other thread but here's some more stats to try to show his habits when recieving the ball when compared to other bigs in the league in a similar role

So not only does Bosh have the lowest adj FG% on the list. But at the same time the only guys with lower assists numbers are shooting WAY better percentages than him. I like Bosh but I come on here and see people complaining about problems with our team and I think we should recognize when our main player is playing inefficient basketball.

Also take into account that our team has the best 3 point shooting in the league hands down at 42%. Our teams adjusted FG% is also at 51% which is significantly higher than Bosh's of .484. The only other guy on the list who's own adj FG% is lower than his teams is Dirk who's at .495 while his team is at 50 (near even). I don't care how many points Bosh scores because Bosh scoring a lot doesnt mean we'll win anyway, what I care about is if he helps to make our team more efficient in how they score as a team. He shouldn't be let off the hook when he's forcing his own game and its costing our team.

Exactly they just dump it into to Bosh and stand there ready to pop the 3 for a good portion of the shot clock. They have to try reposting Bosh a second time to get better position.
