I plan on calling his ass and tsn out for horrible coverage during games. I doubt he knows anything about hoops, or sports in general. Its not until early september though.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I HATE it when he does that stupid huddle report. GAH!

I'll let the board know. Its part of this (Please Use More Appropriate Word) auction package my brother bought. Technically, it was for Rod's tie (?) but included jays and argos tickets, and 15 minutes on rod's radio show. Whole family is going, and since my bro has a speech impediment, im going on the show.

Sorry -- what station is his radio show on?

As a p.s., anyone else think Rod was looking a little strung out or drunk earlier this season? Like his wife kicked him out and he's been sleeping in his back seat clutching a bottle of malt liquor in a paper bag? Know what I mean?

They should have given his mustache away instead of his tie.

I'm willing to bet he kept it around somewhere. Ask for it instead.

Make sure you keep it clean enough for them to keep you on, it would be a shame if they cut you off with no answers.

no clue, im from new brunswick, ill find out before its aired.

You can't just take a guy who has spent a lifetime covering hockey and the cfl (and not very well either) and declare him a hoops corresponent. It's insulting to us hardcore fans with nothing else to occupy our time.

I have a suggestion:

It's not until September?

I think this thread could have been created a few months from now, just so atleast some of us would remember.

But TSN basketball sucks.

There are some very fair questions to ask him which would indirectly insult his knowledge but would be fair game:

"
A complaint I often here about Canadian network sports broadcasting is that the same core of hosts are used, hosts which lack expertise for that particular sport.

Certainlty Rod you broadcast several sports, which would indeed restrict your ability to totally focus and sharpen your expertise of Raptors basketball. Does this lack of expertise inhibit your ability to convey quality information to the basketball viewer? Or does your perspective gained from broadcasting several sports, including those that are not team oriented sports such as figure skating, give you the ability to actually enhacne the information you are conveying to the basketball viewer"

"As a host do you feel there is any specific requirement or duty to be able to accurately discuss the sport with knowledge. Or do your see role as only making sure others can present this information? "

Then if you don't like his answer

"Are you a fancy guy?"

Haha. This is the best post in this thread. Be sure to ask questions like these, this way you don't give them an excuse to cut you off.
