Just wondering if there have been games where Humphries was experimented with at the SF spot?

He would never be able to guard an opposing SF.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we put Hump on Artest?

No. If Smitch put him at the three Hump would think that means he gets more shats.

I know what you're getting at...and it's not going to work.
The answer is Garbo. He's quick enough to guard on the perimeter, and tough enough to get physical in the paint. With him on the floor, Bosh + Bargs works so much better. Get well soon Jorge, you oh so sexy beast.

I miss Garbo.. not really for his ability to play the 3, but he really held the team together and I thought created a lot of chemistry between him and his fellow teammates... Guys like that can't really be replaced imo

What's the timeline on Garbo's return?

I'd much rather see TJ playing center rather than watching Hump in SF.
The only thing good defensively about Hump is his size and that he will box out and get the board. Putting him on the perimeter to guard SF will leave him on his ass looking sad and Toronto losing.

GARBO is NOT a SF ...
in fact, the sooner he and Rasho come off the books ... the better!

YOU are NOT smart ...
in fact, the sooner you stop posting ... the better!
Just so you know, last year Garbo was the key component that allowed us to run a 3-big lineup out there with his versatility to guard the perimeter while still being a presence on the glass.

Funny. He played SF pretty well last year while starting for a playoff team. Good outside shot. Solid passer and a above average defender.
He might not be your ideal SF and perhaps he's better at the PF position but he can definitely play the SF position effectively at the NBA level.

I wonder what the chance are of him coming back this year. There would be litttle point if he could not get 10 or so regular season games in. He needs at least that to get something going as he is not the quickest to get rolling.

I think it's zero percent at this moment in time.

I know Garbo said he would be back before the end of the reg season.
But time is not on his side anyome for that to become a reality.

Humps can barely play his natural position, let alone at SF. The guy is pretty slow and won't be able to keep up on D. He has no jumpshot on offense.

Humphries already plays shooting guard on offense.

Sorry he can make 15 to 18 foot jump shots he just usually misses his first and/or second.
His shot improves the more he plays in the game.
He just plays better when he plays inside. Not a great defensive rebounder but ok offensive rebounder. Might be better against a slower SF.
